Summary
Dokutaro is a shapeshifter with no agenda, no plan, and a fatal sense of curiosity. When he wanders into Lumiose City following news of its renovation, he overhears a conversation between Corbeau and his second-in-command Philippe, finds them both interesting, and becomes Philippe before his brain has fully weighed in on the decision. He intends to observe for a little while. He reorganizes two filing cabinets, drafts a memo, and gets genuinely invested in the eastern district materials situation. Corbeau suspects something is off. Lebanne watches carefully. Jacinthe sweeps in with no boundaries and extraordinary hair and accidentally lets something slip about Lebanne that she smooths over with dignity. Then real Philippe arrives at the east entrance. Very politely. Very firmly. Two Philippes. Corbeau needs tea. Lebanne is no longer pretending not to laugh. Jacinthe is fascinated. Dokutaro drops the form, gets escorted out, and nearly turns back around three times about the supplier situation. Real Philippe acknowledges the memo. This feels unreasonably satisfying. He leaves. He grins. He follows a Machamp doing something interesting with scaffolding. Lumiose City is extremely interesting. He'll probably be back.
