Summary
There is a reason why, during the Clone Wars, entire campaigns are halted or extended to sometimes devastating effects in the name of finding a Jedi’s body and burning it while most soldiers, clone or natborn alike, are simply left where they fell. The 212th is soon to learn exactly why that is.

1: Feemor gets a message from the Force that he needs to take command of a deployment of clones.
2: Echo time travels after the end of S1 of TBB to shortly after he finished ARC training.
3: A young Cody suddenly remembers he and many other CCs were once the previously-thought-decommissioned Alpha Class.
4: Pre-CW S7 Bad Batch end up as dogs on Earth.
5: Bad Batch time travel to early Clone Wars, but don't end up as their younger selves and have to try and hide they're from the future.
6: Brotherhood of Beskar: Boba Fett, Daimyo of Tattooine, gets some visitors claiming to be the (in)famous 212th of the GAR.
7: Cin Vhetin, A Fresh Slate (continuation of full story): The start of a scrapped second chapter.
8: Post-BB S2(-ish) Echo time travels back to his days with Domino Squad.

Oh, and this really funny group of mutated clones seems to have adopted him on the spot? Guess there’s nothing to do but stick around for a while and try to keep them from dying during their crazy missions!

They all watched him fall— The funny, comic relief character. How ironic was that? The one who told jokes with a beaming smile now hid amongst pillows with sorrow.
They were probably laughing at him outside of the pillowfort, Jax decided with a scoff, squinting at the light coming out of the pillowfort. Somebody must’ve forgotten to cover the entrance.
Whatever.
Jax looked down, feeling the familiar yet odd glitchness of his animalistic limbs, his multiple eyes opening and closing— arrays of colour filling the corners of his vision, reminding him of the depiction of people being high.
It was rare to think, Jax had come to terms with that. The abstraction was like a mind of its own, commanding for blood and violence in an animalistic tone.
And all he could really do was wait for that opening, wait for the cage to creak open ever so slightly so he could feel human again, even if it was never noticeable by whoever was around him.---
OR: Pomni and the rest are persistent in constantly talking to Jax, unaware that he's listening in with complete consciousness, slowly regaining his sanity with each one sided conversation.Bookmarked by IsadiahInDisguise

Pomni wasn’t really sure what to expect when she threw her hat in the ring for Operation: RETRIEVE CAINE. All she knew was that someone had to do it, and she sure as fuck didn’t think any of the others would do it.
The entire thing hinged on the hope that his file still existed somewhere in the bin since for some reason, Kinger couldn’t just find the file directly from their new computer. Some explanation about indexes and file corruption that went over her head- but because of this, someone needed to be deleted and dropped into the bin to interact with him and hopefully get a file reference to him, so that hopefully, when they’re brought back, he (or at least something Caine-adjacent) gets dragged back as well.
Hopefully.
God, this is beyond fucked.

In a last-ditch attempt to stop the circus from falling apart, Pomni gets sent into the bin to retrieve Caine, which, if everything went well, should restore functionality to the Circus. It should be fine, probably- it’ll be just like some convoluted high stakes adventure! Easy-peasy lemon-squeezy.It’s too bad files don’t really work like that.
