Summary
This is an alternate ending to Part 1 Ease the Dawn; a different outcome following Ivar's accident on the lake. A story where their closeness and need for intimacy are explored while still in camp and Aethelswith still Ivar's captive. Some scenes will have similar elements but this story follows a different path leading to a very different outcome as Aethelswith and Ivar learn just how much they need each other.
Part 1 Ease the Dawn is posted as part of the series. Please remember that it was my very first piece of writing.

Rey lives in a small flat in NY. Her upstairs neighbor, whom she has never met, has the noisiest washing machine this side of the Atlantic, which he insists on running in the middle of the night. As an increasingly sleep-deprived Rey tries to a) work up the courage to complain to her neighbor and b) maybe get the number of the cute guy who keeps coming to the coffee shop#, something sooner or later will have to give. Let's just hope it's not Rey's kitchen ceiling.
