So, after coming across a great list of alternatives to using the word "said" when writing, I decided to write a series of 'drabbles' of exactly 100 words, each using one of the synonyms.
To make it more interesting, for me anyway and hopefully for anyone reading this, I've decided to do them canon-compliant, in chronological order from Zude's first kiss. I was posting these separately initially but have now consolidated them into one piece.
If anyone is interested in writing drabbles in this series, I'd be happy to include them in the series. The more writers the better!!

Summary
I’ve decided to create a series to post some random drabbles from my head canon of Chris and Peter wreaking having as deputies in the Beacon Hills Sheriff’s department.
Each snippet will be a stand alone but all set in the same universe and the same characters. I hope that one day these will inspire me to write a longer telling the full story of how they met, fell in love, broke their hearts and each other and maybe, find their way back again.
These are utter indulgence of my own silliness because i just like to see them fight while still being stupidly in love with each other.

Summary
After they broke up, Jude didn’t search for Zero out of sheer self-preservation. He knew the baller had transferred to play for the Knicks in New York. He knew Zero had won another world championship and finally got MVP. Beyond that, Jude was religious in his effort to avoid his ex, going out of his way to keep a distance from the man.
But Zero had a daughter.
It wasn’t a fact Jude could simply overlook. He needed to know why, when Jude said he wanted children and Zero had been so adamantly against it, the baller changed his mind now. Maybe it was me, thought Jude bitterly and not for the first time. Maybe Zero wanted children all along, just not with me.
