I slowly turn around, back to the ground, I lean over the edge, and fall. My heart skips a beat when the free fall starts, yet for once in my life, my brain is silent. But when I should’ve hit the ground, I didn’t; I kept falling. Life wanted to make one more joke out of me, I never hit the ground.
I keep falling, but as I look up to the sky, the stars look brighter than before, brighter than I’ve ever seen them. As I fall, I realize there’s nothing around me.
It’s empty.
But when I realize that it’s too late, my body hits something, but it’s not the ground; I hit water. The impact knocked all the air out of me, as my body sank my vision went out.

A woman finds herself in the world of One Piece.
Portgas D. Rouge mistakes her for a fortune teller and asks for a different fate for her son.
She's not sure why she agrees to take him.
(Okay, that's a lie. Ace's life is a goddamn tragedy and he deserved better.)
The miscalculation becomes obvious when she understands how terrible of a life simple, powerless civilians lead here. All the woman can do is rely on her wits, the vague future of this world she remembers, a parlor trick with Tarot cards and a hope for some luck.
She will take on different names and identities, cheat and lie and bargain to move Ace from Baterilla to East Blue.

Summary
Marco had lived through five lives, each vastly different from each other, in experiences and people. But the only thing that remained out of those lives were him. They left and he stayed, only to be re-born again into a new life.
But when he got reincarnated into his sixth, the island he woke up to, the wanted posters and newspapers headlines, the pirates... they were all too familiar. Far too familiar that he cursed fate with more than just a string of colourful words. He stayed away from it all, piracy and sailing alike, but fate never did appreciate his cursing.

If someone had told Marco a week ago he'd be sitting in the brig of one of the Whitebeard Pirate ships, he would have kicked them out onto the ocean. Without a lifeline. But here he was, sat in that said brig, bored out of his mind.
They were going to kill him, that much he knew already. And if they didn't, then him being stuck on this goddamn boat would bring death to him on a silver platter. He needed to get out before any of that happened.
Now, if only they'd fucking listen and understand that, no, he isn't part of their family for sea's sake!
