    Rocky didn’t understand it- of course, how could he? As much time as he spent with Grace, humans were complicated. Their emotions especially so.
    And Rocky had only ever interacted directly with one human, after all.
    But... Grace wasn't happy.
    They'd found another human!

    “Why Grace scared? Question,” Rocky chirped, confused. “New human friend for Grace- thought Grace would be happy.”
    Swallowing, feeling a lump in his throat, Grace pushed himself back up to stand. “Sorry,” he said again, smiling bitterly. “I guess I should be happy, but… I’m just thinking of all the reasons Earth would send more humans out into space- and most of them aren’t good ones.”

    OR: Grace isn't happy when the Eridians announce they've found a new human. Not at all. He liked his life alone. He didn't want to deal with any more drama from Earth!
    This new human meant shattering the peaceful little life he had built for himself.
    Meeting Simon completely upends Grace's day-to-day routine.

    Logan Berry had moved to New York City with the goal of escaping his small town in Florida and finally being able to engage in all the intellectual discussions and research he had been severely lacking in a town of 500 people. He was going to get a physics degree from NYU, get a nice lab position, become a PhD student, and then go on to change the world in ways the stifling environment he grew up in would never have allowed for.

    Only, after his roommate introduces him to his brother, his plans begin to change. On the first night of his new life, his roommate drags him to a party where he meets Remus, a wild theater major from Marymount Manhattan College, who shows him that maybe, just maybe, there's more to life than just academics.

    AKA an intrulogical college AU where Logan learns to love theater with the help of Remus.
    Title is from Another Hundred People from Company, thought it was fitting because 1) sondheim and 2) musical that takes place in nyc

    Three weeks ago, if you had asked Leo if monsters were real, he would have said only the ones that reside in your head. Like the zombie lady clothed in black who spoke to him outside his mother’s warehouse, or the haunting voices of Tia Rosa and Tia Callida.

    Or even people like Teresa, or James, past foster parents who lived in Leo’s nightmares as more monster than human. But now Leo knew that the list continued beyond those that inhabited his mind.
