Summary
All things considered, Wyatt's doing fine.
He ran away from home to avoid being married off to some asshole Dom. He spent five years in the military and got to see the stars just like he always wanted (before they found out he was a sub and kicked him out). Now, he's a black market cargo hauler. It might not be the life that he dreamed for himself, but he has a ship, he makes his own money, and he gets to see the stars every day. He doesn't need a Dom and he doesn't want a Dom. He's doing just fine on his own, thank you very much.
That is, until everything falls apart and he lands on his knees in front of his nation's sworn enemy. A very dominant, very attractive, very charming sworn enemy. Who he now, technically speaking, belongs to. Technically speaking.

Summary
Mae wants to pay rent on time, to stop having stress headaches, and one normal week where nobody comments on how “sweet” he smells
Instead, he accidentally catches the attention of a vampire pack.
Now there are, expensive flowers appearing outside his apartment and six terrifyingly devoted people acting like Mae already belongs to them, which would be easier to process if the pack itself wasn’t completely insane.
One alpha watches Mae with calm, ancient possessiveness, another smiles while saying horrifying things in a velvet-soft voice, one reacts to danger like a feral guard dog, and one becomes emotionally unstable every time Mae looks scared. The omega makes captivity feel comforting, which is arguably the most disturbing part, and the beta is somehow the closest thing in the house to normal.
Meanwhile Mae is:
• spiralling slowly into prey-instinct paranoia
• uncovering evidence that vampires have existed far longer than anyone realizes
• and discovering that being loved by monsters is very different from being hunted by themUnfortunately, the distinction stops mattering the moment they decide to have him.

Summary
“Would you come with me?” Simon asks quietly.
“Where?”
“Back out to sea.”
A sharp needle of pain zips up Johnny’s earlobe at his words. He winces, features pinching, but he doesn’t wrench himself away like he would have done before. Johnny lets Simon hold him, leans into the familiar chill of his fingers, hoping it’ll chase away the throbbing pain.
Johnny laughs through it. “I doubt yer captain would be all that welcomin’ of a siren aboard his Jolly Roger.”
The crease between Simon’s brows smooths out. “But if he was?”
Johnny smiles sadly, watching the way Simon’s eyes glint with that pirate greed. That hunger.
Simon is a fool. A sweet, kindhearted, gentle fool of a man and a shitty excuse for a pirate. The thought makes Johnny’s heart clench painfully in his chest.
“Aye,” Johnny says, meeting Simon’s eyes. “I would.”
OR: The countless times Johnny unknowingly aids a pirate captain, and one time he saves him.
