Summary
Talon felt surprisingly alert as he watched the Owls file in. They were each escorted to their table by a sharp-eyed Talon, one hand resting on their knife and the other keeping a firm hold on their charge. It reminded Talon of how Grandfather used to walk with him, when he wasn’t sure if he’d need to cut out Talon’s heart in order to keep him in check.
He used to be so, so bad. He was very lucky that the Court taught him to be good. Talon tried to remember that, even as his head got fuzzier at the sight of his opponent.
It was an owlet.
He was small, almost as small as Talon. His clothes hung off of him like a scarecrow. Angry, narrowed eyes flitted across the room as he was dragged forward by a Talon on both sides. His mouth was pressed in a thin line, but still he tried to bite the hands hoisting him up. Talon nearly cooed. He had teeth!
or, The Talon that used to be Dick Grayson is tasked with killing a street rat when a deal for the Court goes south. It doesn't go smoothly, but Jason's pretty grateful for that.

Summary
It was almost comical, the way that they both spun, wide-eyed, like a couple of cartoon characters. Processing the little details the way he’d been trained to do so for as long as he could remember, Dick caught the instinctual motion of Peter’s hand straying to his gun holster.
Catalina Flores smiled at him, her eyes drifting up and down his figure with what had to be a deliberately slow speed.
Dick’s breath caught in his throat, thick and tight. He flinched backwards and knocked into Peter. It was a small, almost imperceptible motion he was sure that not even Peter picked up on, but the way her grin widened told him everything. He found himself switching to emergency mode, planning out exit strategy and how to minimize destruction, but it was severely hindered by the fact that he couldn’t look away.
He’d torn his gaze off of her once. It’d been on that rooftop. As rain had beaten down on his already bruised body, he’d shut his eyes tight. Her acrylic nails on his skin had instantly left welts, even before she buried them in, deeper, asking for more and more and more, until he was just that dried-out husk she’d left him as.
or, while undercover as Neal Caffrey, Dick runs into Catalina Flores.

Summary
"This is my side of town, ya know?"
Dick squinted. “Jason?” His voice came out cautious, like he didn’t quite trust it. “You’re… older.”
He sighed. “Alright, I guess.”
Jason tilted his head. “That’s it? You don’t care that I’m here?”
Dick shrugged, still watching the alley below. “Well, I’m kind of on the job, so it isn’t the best time to break down.”
Jason blinked.“Can we like… delay this?” Dick added, his voice dry. “Show up in my kitchen while I’m eating cheese out of my opened fridge?”
Or Dick thinks he's hallucinating a very real Jason and invites the "hallucination" home. Jason thinks his brother is being freakishly calm, but hey, he's being accepted as he is so he doesn't care.

Summary
“Look at me,” Jason said. Not a command. Just quiet, grounded instruction.
Dick let him. He didn’t fight it.
Jason turned his head to one side, then the other. Checked his pupils. Tracked his eye movement. Touched under his jaw like he was feeling for a pulse. The contact should’ve felt weird—it was Jason—but it didn’t. It felt like something between a battlefield check and a brother’s worry.
Jason’s brow furrowed deeper. “Because there was a shit ton of leftover fear toxin in that building,” he said finally, voice controlled and low. “You didn’t smell it?”
“I mean…” Dick hesitated, trying to recall. “There was a chemical smell. I thought it was just oil or rust.” He blinked. “Oh. Is that why the hallucinations were worse this time?”
Or Dick doesn't realizes he's been effected by fear toxin and spills to everyone that he's been hallucinating.
