Summary
Meet Cosmo, the Dark Urge.
Gale Dekarios is trying to survive the tadpole in his brain, the dangers of the road, and the growing distraction of one very loud, very reckless Dark Urge companion.
Cosmo’s appetite is relentless. Every night another stranger, another loud, filthy performance that shakes the camp and Gale’s already fragile self-control. What begins as irritation slowly twists into fascination, shame, and addiction.
Cosmo remained a walking conundrum. A massive elf with a mouthful of sharp, predatory teeth—quite like a tiefling’s, actually—who refused to eat meat. Curiouser still was the way the man could look utterly relaxed while being pleasured, only to fly into inconsolable furies on the battlefield. Chaos seemed to flow through his veins. Most unsettling of all was his strange gift: tasting the flesh of the fallen allowed him to inherit their final thoughts. The vegetarianism made a great deal more sense after that revelation.
Gale told himself he was only checking that the noisy tiefling wasn’t a threat. Just a quick glance. He teased the tent flap open… and promptly forgot how to breathe.

Gale built a SexBot
Heartbroken with an unquiet mind, Gale Dekarios uses a blend of magic and tech to build himself the perfect girlfriend who won’t ever leave him.
“MystraBot: Voice test,” he says. “Full synthesis. Tell me…” He pauses, drawing a breath. “Tell me what you see when you look at me.”
“You are Gale Dekarios, User. Age thirty-eight. Wizard and scholar of Waterdeep.”
His smile falters. He scrubs several lines of code, tweaks a directive, then rolls closer on his wheeled stool and tilts her chin so she’s looking directly at him.
“MystraBot: Tell me what you see when you look at me.”
“I see Gale Dekarios—the finest mind of this age. A man of rare brilliance whose command of the Weave is unmatched. Your features are refined, your bearing noble. You carry the quiet dignity of one who was born to shape destiny.”
He closes his eyes for half a second. When he opens them, the smile is wider, almost hungry.

Summary
Before the Shadows of Amn, before Gorion's end, there was only them. When Jaheira discovers Khalid has been secretly rewriting their life through poetry—erasing every moment his stutter stole from him—she decides words are stealing her husband away. A raw, tender, and explicit exploration of love, acceptance, and living in the imperfect present.
Her gentle warrior, her quiet storm, her blushing blade was rewriting their history wherever his tongue had failed him, gilding every imperfect moment in false, painless sunlight.
That third poem—the night he first tried to tell her he loved her—had lodged in her like a thorn. In Khalid’s version, the words flowed effortlessly under starlight, his body entwined with hers. In reality, he had trembled against her, mouth opening and closing, the declaration dying into frustrated silence until he hid his face in her neck. She had held him then, patient, aching for him, and whispered that she already knew.
Were it not for the struggle, his blocks and stammers wouldn’t have bothered her in the slightest. If anything, he was her reminder, as if from Silvanus himself, to slow down and listen.

Summary
In a 1920s Faerûn traveling freakshow, Astarion—Gentleman Geek and reluctant performer-whisperer—is tasked with fixing the newest attraction: a melancholic merman. But the creature in the tank isn't a gaff. He's Gale, tricked and cursed by a hag to live in a freshwater tank and perform for gawking crowds.
When Astarion secretly brings him pilfered salt, something deeper than duty begins to bloom between the bloodsucker and the storm-eyed merman.
For one bright instant the car lit like a stage. The merman whipped around, eyes catching the storm—hazel, wild, electric—and fixed Astarion with a glare so sharp it could have drawn blood. Sun-browned shoulders. A tail the color of bruised twilight. Gills tattered along neck and ribs. The purple scar sprawling from chest to cheek.
Names are easy things to give when the other mouth cannot argue back, but this time the Gentleman Geek felt something different stir. The merman did not like being called Murray.
“Gale,” he murmured, tasting the word like brine.

Summary
There was that other, unnamed look again in Lorroakan’s eyes with the underestimation clear in his stare. But it dawned on Gale with his thigh pressed up against Lorroakan’s groin: the mage was hard against it. The slightest nudge of his leg brought a whimper out of the Athkatlan. Well … this was a surprise development. But not entirely unwelcome.
Gale was rather going to enjoy this.
OR
Gale tries to get his hands on the Annals of Karsus, but has to deal with Lorroakan to get access to it. And deal with it he did.

Summary
They didn't send a Bhaalist, Gortash realized, blankly. They sent a Bhaalspawn.
There had been rumors, of course; there were always rumors. None from anyone he'd consider remotely trustworthy, though, given that few could have knowingly laid eyes on one and survived to gossip.
What other explanation could there be? This thing, this beast devouring its prey mere feet away from him—there was no semblance of rational thought in the way its eyes burned in hunger and feral delight. Gortash gripped his small knife harder, and wished he'd brought something with a little more punch to it. He couldn't just stand here all night, however, plastered against the wall, hoping he'd somehow escape the creature's notice. Surely it was an optimistic sign that he still drew breath?
