Summary
Ragatha Taylor is a rich young woman, living in the seaside town of Brightwater-on-sea. Her parents are desperate to get her married. Everything in her life is easy.
On her 22nd birthday, Ragatha meets a young performer, working at the Knott's Travelling Circus. Ragatha just has to ask about life outside of Brightwater. What starts as a friendship build on pity and curiosity, grows into something more... but not everyone can appreciate it. Now Ragatha is stuck between an arranged marriage, family issues and social expectations.

Beautiful flowers, though more fitting for a funeral than a wedding.
But perhaps they’re suitable still; Libber will look back on this day as the day her heart started walking towards its grave.

Summary
In August of 1969, mystery solving teenagers Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and Velma mourning the end of their summer vacation when both Fred and Shaggy are drafted into the Vietnam war. For Shaggy, going into a war would violate his pacifist nature; it's kill or be killed, after all. And Fred is so terrified of dying that he doesn't want to go either.
Daphne -- Fred's now fiancée -- would follow him to the end of the earth if he asked. Velma doesn't know a life without her friends, and she never wants to. So, together the four friends and their Great Dane, Scooby, run away together to solve mysteries across the country.
Nothing bad can happen to them as long as they have each other, right?
