Summary
The story goes something like this… when God first created the Andals, they were monstrous beings with four legs and arms, who, although they loved each part of them fiercely, were unable to survive on their own without the help of the Gods. So they had separated them into two beings, and as they grew and thrived, they noticed that they would spend their lives searching for that other half. Sometimes they were able to find it, and their lives seemed complete and full of joy and love… most of the time they were unable to, and their lives were spent in the search for the other half of their own being.
It was why, when the Gods arrived in Westeros with the first Andals, they gave them a gift for this new and immense space. A blessing so they could find their other half, the one being in the whole continent that could complete what was inside of them… their soulmate.
Since God had seven faces, seven different blessings existed.

or: Maegor time travels to the exact time Ser Duncan, his father, is about to confront Aerion about the trial.

Summary
"Hold the favor of an omega and you hold the favor of the gods.
He's heard the tales sung to pups in their beds by mothers and milkmaids.
"Omegas are the realms delights rare and valued beyond compare. Beings born to only the highest of royalty and greatest high-born houses."
They aren't born to the smallfolk and they certaintly aren't from the filthy squalor of fleabottom.
So why would Dunk every pay the tales anymind.
They are fair and beautiful and dainty everything Dunk isn't.
He only had one goal, knighthood. Beyond that what else would he care about. Hes a simple man with simple goals.
But the winds are changing, And with them they carry a scent as sweet as summer and the singers sing of a new star falling from the sky.
An gift from the gods, a sign of good fortune.
Dunk sees it as an omen that his path of knighthood is clear.
The Targaryens also sense the shifting winds
And someone new keeps managing catch their eye, someone with a scent like gold, someone they all intend to seek out.
No matter what.
Targareyen's are blood of the dragon after all , and dragons have never been known to let a treasure out of their sight.Bookmarked by Flyingthroughspaceandtime
