Summary

She drops the journal onto the bedcovers, her hand freezing between her legs.
She had not heard the door open - but she certainly hears it close, the lock clicking behind him as he enters.
Him - Colin Bridgerton, the man whose travel diaries she stole (out of his bedroom whilst he was drinking and smoking with the rest of the gentleman after dinner) and is now touching herself to (in that spot between her legs her mother told her never go near, but she was never very good at doing what her mother told her), stands at the end of her bed.
