    Jack Frost thought he knew who he was, a protector of the children and the Guardian of Fun. However, a little mishap and a chance meeting with a Dis had everything he thought he knew thrown out of perspective. Now, not only does he have to deal with finding out what has happened to him while finding a way home, but he is also having to deal with learning about who he had been; who Jackson Overland had been. On top of all that, he had to do everything while trying to go unnoticed by the Vikings and have you ever meet him? Subtlety was not a quality he possessed.

    Oh, and did he mention the dragons? Because there were dragons.

    It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.

    Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

    „Besser geht’s doch gar nicht“, sagte Peter vergnügt, drehte die Radiolautstärke runter und würgte damit Mariah Carey ab, die gerade die ersten Zeilen von All I Want For Christmas zu trällern begann. „Skifahren, Schneespaziergang, gemütlich vor dem Kamin sitzen… Kollegen, dieser Urlaub wird Erholung pur.“
    „Wer weiß,“ sagte Justus. „Obwohl auch ich einer gewissen Entspannung gegenüber nicht abgeneigt bin, kann es natürlich durchaus sein, dass unsere Dienste als Detektive in Anspruch geno…“
    „Oh nein!“ fiel Peter ihm hastig ins Wort. „Ich mein es ernst, Just! Dieses Jahr möchte ich mich einfach nur erholen, Zeit mit meinen beiden besten Freunden verbringen, und nicht mit Gespenstern oder Erbschleichern um den Weihnachtsbaum tanzen!“ Es klang fast flehentlich, und Bob war nicht schnell genug, den Impuls zu unterdrücken, seine Hand beruhigend auf Peters Unterarm zu legen.

    Eigentlich sollten es für die drei Detektive entspannte Feiertage im verschneiten Ferienort Pinewood Falls werden. Doch nicht genug damit, dass Bob eine Menge ungeklärter Gefühle für seinen besten Freund im Gepäck hat - bereits kurz nach ihrer Ankunft häufen sich merkwürdige Ereignisse. Spukt es etwa in der beschaulichen Ferienunterkunft?
