The images blurred on the screen. He couldn't breathe.
It couldn't be.
"Tell me you’re not in that tunnel," Sieun breathed out, hollow.
OR: Sieun comes home to 87 missed calls from Suho. When he finally answers, Suho sounds like nothing is wrong—teasing and almost casual enough to be convincing. Sieun only slowly realizes that Suho isn’t on his way home, but trapped under a collapsed tunnel with a dying phone and something he has been circling around for years but never managed to say out loud.

Summary
Weirdly enough, the most unbearable thing Suho felt from being kicked in the head was not the pain itself but the burn in his lungs. As darkness crept in to claim him, his thoughts scattered toward gentler places. It made him think—absurdly—how desperately he wished they could return to a time before everything fractured into violence and regret.
