Summary
Ilya was addicted to social media. He knew this. Everyone knew this. Everyone loved his posts because he was known for oversharing and chirping. But half of his posts were just for Shane, pictures of loons and inside jokes that no one else would ever get.
People were just perplexed when he got a tattoo of a loon feather and captioned it, “The scariest things in life are the best.” When people questioned, him he replied, “They scream like wolves and have demonic eyes.”
But there was one post he didn’t make. He never posted directly about Shane. He and Shane were always private. For a long time there hadn’t been a plan to go public. They wanted to be closer than Boston, and they wanted Ilya to be safe if they ever got outed. They hadn’t intended to come out. But the years were wearing.
Shane and Ilya decide to come out. That means revealing things they would rather not think about. But they say the truth will set you free.

It was impossible to assume his tone, if he was trying to mock him or if his question was of genuine interest. He paid attention to his sleeveless t-shirt with a band image printed on it, something named “Ministry”, and by the looks of it, probably related to metal. What a shame that this extremely attractive looking man with a sexy foreign accent was going to turn out to be the most annoying and pretentious 'name three songs' type of guy.Or
Shane is a pop boy who enters a record store to buy an album and ends up captivated by the hot (presumably metalhead) employee.
