Billy spun, cheese dangling guiltily from his mouth.
Steve just nodded at him, walking to the freezer. Fuck. Those definitely were his hot pockets. Billy was sort of half crying into Steve's hot pockets. His eyes were glassy and red, either crossfaded to fuck or red from crying, or both. His nose was running. He looked kind of terrible.

As Grace moves closer, he sees Simon’s face glossy with tears and blood and sweat, eyes completely glazed over as he fights to stay conscious.
“Simon,” Grace rushes over to him, trying desperately to stifle his panic and remember that none of this is real. “What happened to you?”
Simon looks past him as he responds. “Everything… hurts.” A fresh tear runs down the man’s face. “Please, Grace. Help me.”
The Eridians find a bloody submarine near their planet, and Grace is surprised by how the terrified man who came along with it captures his attention. Now, he needs to get Simon to trust him enough to open up about his past, the injuries they found him with, and the reason he refuses to sleep.
