It wasn’t what Jon expected when he stumbled into the monster’s den. Rather than a lavish manor, or a hovel in a creepy forest, it was a modest cabin on a few acres of land. Wild flowers grew stubbornly between the cobblestones of the path, coloring the garden in deep blues and pinks. He looked down furiously at his notes. Months he’s been researching, tracking down statements on vampires at Mr. Magnus’s “request." These things were said to be inhumane creatures of the night, motivated by little else than hunger and hatred for humanity. What use would a beast need for modern comforts such as these?

The doctor came to rest on the edge of the bed, so close Will could feel the shift of his thighs on the mattress just inches from his own. “It appears you've lost more time. You arrived on my doorstep dressed inappropriately for the weather, asking for my help. It’s a miracle you weren't hypothermic. I attempted to take you to the hospital for assessment and treatment, but you were adamant that I not. That was five hours ago now. I had hoped a good rest would improve your symptoms, we shall see if that’s the case."
As Will's encephalitis progresses, he has another episode that causes him to seek out Hannibal's medical expertise.

Screwing his eyes shut, Keith tried to painstakingly lift himself from his seat but was met only with a sudden gush of blood from his severed shoulder and a wave of nausea. Suddenly, a set of large warm hands met his back and chest, guiding him back into place. "Keith please, you're bleeding! You should have told me!" Shiro admonished.
"'m fine..." He bit through clenched teeth. "...t's just a scratch…” He panted “...I just need to lie down and then... t'll be fine."
"Are you serious? You've lost too much blood already! Keith this is serious! I'm taking you to the infirmary and I will hear no arguments against it."

The Smithsonian had put together the exhibit in his honor shortly after the announcement was made that he had been retrieved from the ice. Fury had suggested he visit it, that it might help him “come to terms with things” and “Get caught up”. He hadn't anticipated the emotional response he felt and he definitely didn't expect he'd come back this many times.

He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. Danger always feels like hockey; it’s the most dangerous thing Ilya knows, except for this. Everything dangerous in his life involves men’s bodies and just how close he can get to them. Closer than he probably should.
A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.
