Summary
After his fight with Ventus in BBS, Vanitas somehow survived and with nothing better to do, he started the search for his and Ventus's body.
Ending up in Castle Oblivion, fighting the Organization, making a few friends on the way.Basically Vanitas being in KH from the beginning and thus changing everything pretty drastically, while also getting the Lost Trio to find each other.

„What?“ Ventus mumbled, his feet hitting the uneven, sandy ground with a soft thud. His head was spinning. His chest hurt. Why did his chest hurt?
The guy seemed confused, for some reason. „It is your new name,“ he explained after a short moment, his head nodding towards the body that was still lying on the ground. „You can hardly both be called Ventus.“
„But why does he get to keep it?“ Ventus (Vanitas? ehhh) asked, wrinkling his forehead. „And why the fuck did you rhyme it? That's just unnecessarily ridiculous.“
Or: What if Vanitas was just a bit more of a little shit and Xehanort was actually a decent mentor?

Summary
There was blood on his hands, Vanitas noted dully, the same as it was slowly seeping through the fabric over his knees from the growing puddle on the floor. His Keyblade was covered in the same, startingly bright red where it lay discarded on the ground a few feet away.
His eyes stayed glued to the limp form in front of him that was surely getting colder by the minute, no matter how hot the day was, blood streaming from a deep hole in the man's stomach, barely visible against his dark coat but incredibly so in the white of his beard.
During his training, Vanitas accidentally kills Master Xehanort, only for Eraqus to find him and take him with him to the Land of Departure to find out what exactly happened to his friend and who the person who killed him even is. But nothing is ever as easy as it sounds.
