Summary
Scott Hunter’s daughter was about to start her first year of school and everybody at Franklin’s Elementary could not wait to know which class she will be in. The lucky teacher happened to be Kip Grady, who not only knew nothing about Scott Hunter but was also very reluctant to have his life turned upside down by a hockey player. Summary
A slow burn between two scientists, one from land while the other is from the sea, starting from a brief meeting in their youth to their adulthood. Occurring in a universe where the Merfolk, were exploited and nearly eliminated due to their connection to ‘magic’ by war and a substance called The Grey. The story will follow our two main characters as they attempt to bring peace between their peoples, while also keeping themselves alive.
(AKA: Merman Viktor and Human Jayce fall in love and solve political issues.)
((Title is a reference to the song Round Here by Counting Crows cause I felt like it))
(Tags will update as the story goes, there will be a time skip from childhood to adulthood. I also infamously include mpreg in everything so if possible merpreg (eggpreg?) isn’t your thing then maybe avoid this one? Idk I can’t commit yet.)

Jayce holds his hands up in defence, “Don’t worry, there’s no one around to hear us,” he sighs, “Look i’m sorry, I just, i've read so much about the Jedi, and if you are one, then I know you aren’t going to fire that.”
The blaster clicks and Jayce tenses but nothing happens and he makes the guess that the man has turned his blaster to stun.
“I’m not a Jedi.”
“But you-“
The man pushes him harder against the wall, “I'm not. No one is, the Jedi are extinct.”

Jayce is a Mandalorian who is drawn to investigate Kyber crystals. His work leads him to Viktor, a Jedi in hiding who is searching for Kyber crystals to teach his padawans and help aid his hidden sanctuary. They become unlikely allies. Together they help each other escape trouble and create a safe place to exist, free from the clutches of the Empire, all the while feeling unexplainably drawn to the each other.
The Force has a mysterious way of working.
