Summary
“Why are you in here anyway? Got lost?” Kai tries humor. Taehyun's room is one door over.
“A little,” he replies with a breathy laugh, voice slightly muffled, shrinking in closer to the warmth where Kai's neck meets his clavicle. “Huening,”
“Yes?” Kai responds to the call of his name, voice soft.
“Your sheets smell like you.” Taehyun nuzzles his nose into Kai's collarbone. Kai's hands rub slowly at the lean muscle of Taehyun's back. He smiles into Taehyun's hair.
“I'm gonna help you, okay?”
“Okay,” he replies quietly. There isn't a buzz of sound elsewhere in the room aside from the rustling of the sheets underneath them as Kai reaches to pull the hem of Taehyun's sweater over his head.
When the presence of your best friend is what makes a room your sanctuary, no amount of alcohol will make you lose the bodily coordination to find the way to his bed when you seek his warmth.
