After Cedric died, Harry was lost and confused. Fourteen was too young to experience death and violence. Not that anyone around him ever seemed to care. None but the one who came to him after the tournament. Someone Harry had not expected. At first he thought it would be a simple comfort then the other would go back to their life but they didn't. They kept reaching out. More and more until Harry depended on every letter, every little gift. They kept him going, kept him fighting. Gave him a reason to hope for something more.
