“Is it cause you used to have a crush on me?” Mike asked, abruptly.
“What!” It was Will’s turn to blush harder, giving him a glare reserved for Mike Wheeler and Mike Wheeler only. “No. God. That was ages ago. I’ve been past that for a long time.”
Mike motioned like he’d made his point. “See? So? It wouldn’t be weird.”
So, Mike likes guys. Fine, Will can live with that. Except now Mike's worried about having fallen behind and would really like some help practicing how to kiss a guy from his also-into-guys best friend. And Will is trying really, really hard to be a good mentor to him, so what is he going to do, say no?

Summary
Will, who is alone on the other side of the truck, practically pressing himself in the corner, his eyes flickering all around the group but never settling. His attention darts from one friend to another, landing on Lucas then Dustin then Robin. But never Mike. He hasn’t looked Mike’s way once since the truck started moving.
Mike is trying really, really hard not to be bothered by that.

Mike and Will have a conversation in the back of Murray’s truck on the way to the Upside Down, and then a second conversation once they get there. A post S5 episode 7 fix-it.

Summary
“So,” Will prompts, when Mike still doesn’t offer up any information on the mysterious stack of papers tucked under his arm. “Are you having a party?”
“Oh, no,” Mike says, sounding like it might be the first time ever in his life that he is genuinely disappointed about this fact. He shifts and grabs the stack of flyers, sort of waving them through the air. “These are just for this game I play?” The inflection on the end of what should be a statement makes it sound more like a hesitant question.
“And in this one, you act like you’re… vampires?”
Or: To get out of the sexual rut he’s stuck in, Popular!Will gets dared to ask out Nerd!Mike and ends up attending a Vampire the Masquerade LARP where they proceed to put the ‘role-play’ into ‘live action role-play.’

He wasn't doing anything wrong, technically. It wasn't like he'd planned to overhear Will. It was unintentional. He was just passing by and heard.
It could have been anyone else, right? If someone else lived there with them.
Mike wasn't exactly taking advantage of the situation. He was just listening. Just listening.
And imagining, of course. But there was no problem as long as nothing came out of his head.
Besides, Will wasn't trying to be subtle. He should know Mike could hear him.
or; five times that Mike listened to Will jerking off, and one time that he watched.

Summary
There stood Mike, frozen like a statue. In front of him, Will was bent over, digging through the fruit drawer of the refrigerator. After a moment, Will straightened up with a ripe peach in hand. Ted watched his son continue staring at the exact spot Will’s backside had just occupied, wearing an expression of pure, hopeless longing.
Ted considered quietly backing out of the room.
"For God's sake, Michael," He said, instead. "Either take something out or close the door. I'm not paying to refrigerate the whole neighborhood."
Will turned around, blinking in mild confusion.
Mike’s face bloomed bright red. The blush was quickly overtaken by a scowl. He slammed the refrigerator door hard enough to rattle every magnet on it. “I was getting something! Sorry it took more than two seconds-"
“When exactly did your mother start storing the snacks in the back pockets of Will’s jeans?”
“Oh my God.” Mike spun on his heel and stormed toward the stairs. “You are so-" The rest was lost to thundering footsteps and the inevitable slam of his bedroom door.
Or, Ted realizes sometimes you need to be locked in the closet before coming out of it.
