Summary
The Paintress is gone; the Curator left. In the aftermath of Lumiere’s battle, Maelle and Verso find a middle ground and promise to give each other closure without harming any more innocents : he will try living a mortal life and she will leave the Canvas.
Maelle helps her late brother’s soul to fix the Fracture's damages and brings people back, giving this world a second chance. She spends her last painted days making the most of Verso’s presence and Gustave’s return, trying to bring them closer with few success. After her departure, both men struggle to settle back in the city and when Verso blurts out the idea of Gustave accompanying him to the Continent, the engineer doesn't take long to accept: after all, he missed a lot of things there, definitely needs a guide... and time away from Lumière.

Now he's stranded in the past alongside Lea and Romeo, unable to understand why the blue lights didn't take him back. Romeo awakens and reacts strangely upon seeing him, as if he recognized something familiar in his face. While P tries to adapt to this new reality, he must confront the mysteries of his situation and the complicated emotions his presence awakens in those around him.
