The mechanized voice echoed through the room. The silhouettes outside didn't seem to notice.
Dick slowly pried his eyes open. No one was there.
"Isn't it nice to see me again?"
Still, the room was silent and unmoving except for the beeping of his heart rate. His eyes darted around the room, glaring at the curtains like it would reveal a hallucination of Deathstroke aiming for his throat.
He turned.
Slade's one eye was boring into his skull right next to him.

Dick released all of the air in his chest with a sigh of relief and slumped against the couch. His neck rested on the couch’s back as his head hung loosely over it. He studied the ceiling and went over Bruce’s contingency.

Definitely in the past, but also in an alternate universe. Definitely a magic trick.
2. Stay out of anyone’s way and don’t move until I find you and bring you home.
Rescue’s not coming, and I need to move.
