    The blood of Lilia, who Silver vowed to protect, to serve, to repay.
    The blood of Malleus' family, who Silver himself grieved because of all his own had done, for he saw what grief terrorized Malleus at every breath.
    The blood of hundreds of fae and humans, both innocent and not.

    How could Silver ever live with himself, now knowing the truth? That he was but a broken memory trapped in a monstrous shell? That'd he'd always bring pain, grief, and sorrow to those he vowed to protect?

    But everything changes one night, and Silver is swept away from his family and into a glittering dungeon where he now awaits a faith that doesn't just threaten to take away everything he's ever loved.

    But to steal it from the very core of his soul.
