Summary
Giving up his Golden Core, not only does Wei Wuxian practically lose everything, but loses himself in the most inhumane way. He loses his sense of self, and his humanity to survive in that hellish place full of resentment and death.
Once returning, Lan Wangji was just as worried as the others. While Wei Wuxian returned, something was majorly off about him. He was avoiding everyone whenever he could-hell, he was avoiding eating the spicy foods he once loved to eat.
Lan Wangji managed to find out, and there he promises to ensure that Wei Ying is taken care of along with the child he took under his wing.
Those around Wei Ying as well, swore to help protect him just as he does to them, however, the secret only the rest of the Wen's and Lan Zhan knows slowly becomes known to all, and they have to find a way to ensure that no harm comes his way. -

Summary
In a city that had been in lock down for almost four generations, the pandemic doesn't show any sign of lifting or going away. If anything-it looked to have been getting worse. The people infected show signs of fatigue, nausea and soon enough insanity and violence. The scientists and doctors within that local city have been trying for years to find a solution only to always come up empty handed. The city was thus shut down-no one could get in or out.
However-a little boy since childhood found ways to sneak out and meet up with someone from the "outside" world and meet up past a large metal fence. Wei Ying and Lan Zhan have been speaking to each other for years over that fence.
"When I grow up-I'm going to climb over this fence and live with you" Said Wei Ying.
"Mn"
As they grew-their blossoming love only grew. But it wasn't their love that only grew. After years of showing negative signs of the infection...

Luo Binghe was home at the little bamboo hut. It's been years since they were officially married and life was going good. Wei Wuxian opened his eyes facing the dreadful sight of his Shixiong's face covered in blood and body pierced by thousands of blades.
Wen AnShu fell into his arms, holding Wei Wuxian tight, protecting his body at the cost of his own.
“I had to protect you, Wuxian,” he answered. “Protecting you… is me protecting my world.“
Looking into the mirror while touching his face, Wei Wuxian stared at his reflection, wide-eyed and face devoid of any colour.
“This...“ He whispered to himself, horrified at the face in the reflection which resembled his own face from many, many centuries ago. “This face... It's too young! Too young!“ He gasped, tears streaming down his pale cheeks as he gritted his teeth and struggled for breath while harshly pulling at his hair.
He then gently took a hold of Wei Wuxian's hand and brought it to his lips, pressing a light kiss on his knuckles.
Wei Wuxian looked up at him, the man's name rolling off his tongue with warm ease.
“The pleasure is mine, Your Excellency Wen RuoHan.“
Wei Wuxian was an immortal but after his death, he replaces another version of himself from another reality.
