Summary
She'd first caught his attention on the train to Hogwarts 1st year. They'd both been reading the same book on potions that was at least 4 years past their own. Finding out her heritage had meant that he had to hate her, had to call her out on her lower birth and avoid her at all costs. That's what he'd been taught his entire life.
Yet when he looked at her, he didn't see an enemy. He saw beauty, and kindness, and a redemption he'd never imagined he'd know.
*Note* This story will begin in the middle, lol. We'll be starting our journey just before where we'll be completely breaking with canon in HP:DH. This is the pivotal point at which Draco has to make a choice. Everything after that will lead toward 8th year at Hogwarts and Draco and Hermione's past will be re-lived in flashbacks and memories. Hopefully the timeline won't be too confusing and everyone will enjoy!
Each chapter will specify whose POV (Draco, Hermione, or Dramione meaning back and forth between the two). Hopefully this won't be too confusing!
