Chapter Text
The venue was still roaring when Chan and Hyunjin slipped out the back and away from their security. Sweat cooling, makeup half wiped, and adrenaline still buzzing in their veins, they left the other boys behind to get some air. Hyunjin was always jittery after a show. With shaky hands and pupils blown wide, Chan always worried for him until they started slipping away for quiet moments like this. He needed it too.
Chan called it ‘the crash’, the sudden silence after thousands of voices from fans screaming their names. Hyunjin's body didn't know where to put all that leftover intensity and if Chan was honest, he didn't either. So, they got out away from the stage for a bit to get themselves together before rejoining the boys.
“Are you okay?” Chan asked his dongsaeng as he wiped the sweat off of his face. It was dim back here behind their tour bus but he could see the nerves still chewing through Hyunjin.
Hyunjin nodded and ran his hand through his long hair. He took deep breaths and relaxed knowing that his hyung was here with him. Chan was always there looking out for him and he was so damn thankful for that. “Yeah. I just need a minute. Tonight was crazy.”
Laughing, Chan leaned against the back of the bus and grounded himself with the hum from the generators. Maybe that was why they didn't hear the footsteps creeping towards them. They didn't see the shadows until it was too late. A huge arm wrapped around Hyunjin's throat from behind and the moment Chan registered the danger and rushed towards him, a cloth was pressed over his own mouth and he drowned in the smell from it. It was chemical, sweet, and wrong.
Chan tried to twist free and get to Hyunjin but the world tilted. His head felt like it was filling with cotton and then his vision blurred. He barely made out Hyunjin in a similar predicament and then together, they collapsed as drugged unconsciousness swallowed them whole.
Chan woke up to the taste of dust. His head throbbed and his wrists burned as he slowly came back to himself and when he did, his heart nearly stopped.
The room they were in was small with wallpaper peeling off of the dirty, stained walls. A dim bulb hung crooked from the ceiling and from what he could see, there were no windows in here. The air smelled like mold and old cigarettes and right there against a wall was an old mattress that screamed danger. Understanding of what this was had his heart slamming into his ribs.
Hyunjin was across from him zip tied just the same to a chair. His face was pale and his eyes were red-rimmed and glassy as they watched him wake up in this damned place. Chan wanted to cry watching him shake so hard that the chair he was in nearly scraped against the floor from the tremors. “I’m here,” he told his dongsaeng. “You’re okay. What—”
He didn't get to finish his sentence when the door creaked open and three men stepped in. They looked ordinary and that was the worst part. It didn't give them any information on who they were but deep down, they knew. Jeans, workboots, one of them chewing gum and another scrolling on their phone like they were bored, it made them dangerous. This all seemed normal for those men and Chan shuddered at that. Traffickers.
They stayed quiet as the men talked about them like they were inventory. How their value would be skyrocketed because they were idols but also dangerous because people knew who they were. And because of that, one of them discussed how they would have to be trained.
“They’re both pretty,” one of them said with a twisted smile. “That one,” he pointed towards Chan, “has a nice body. If I could find my fucking phone I would have a field day with the pictures I would take.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Chan spat towards them. Immediately he regretted it when the man calmly walked over to him. Looking at him sweetly, he smirked and then turned and slammed his fist against Hyunjin's face with a savage crack.
Hyunjin groaned and Chan began slinging curses at all of them. He pulled against his restraints and tried to get to Hyunjin as his heart shattered in his chest. He had caused that. He had caused that cut to open up on Hyunjin's cheek and made him spit out a wad of blood. “Jinnie!” Staring daggers of hate at the man who had hit him, he realized that he needed to calm down. “Why did you do that?”
The man ignored him and rejoined his buddies. “As I was saying, that one looks like a sculpted god and people are going to pay good money for that.”
“And the other one?” the shorter one said as he watched Hyunjin shake the dizziness from his head.
“That one,” the man who had hit him said, “is beautiful. I think the boss is going to like these two.”
They all watched Chan struggle with himself on what to do. He held nothing but concern for his dongsaeng and pure hate with a promise of death for the three of them.
“That’s Bang Chan,” the third man said. “He’s seriously protective of his kids from what I've researched and it's going to take some work killing that fire.”
“I’m right here,” Chan said carefully. “Who are you? What do you want with us?” He regretted it instantly when the same man from before went straight to Hyunjin this time. A rough hand went around his throat and his dongsaeng choked around the air he tried to breathe in.
“Don’t touch him!” Chan screamed. He pulled uselessly at the ties biting into his wrists. And when the man dared to slip a hand under Hyunjin's shirt as he struggled, Chan pulled harder. Hyunjin was fighting to breathe and he was crying as the man all but felt him up. Another one of them joined him and roughly grabbed Hyunjin's chin, tilting his face around his friend's grip like he was inspecting merchandise.
Chan lunged so hard that the zip-tie around his wrists snapped and he bolted forward, slamming into the one who had his hand around Hyunjin's throat. They both hit the ground hard and Chan gave him hell. He straddled him and hit him hard, over and over as he screamed obscenities at him for touching Hyunjin like that until hands dragged him off of the man.
He blacked out some time after that. He remembered getting hit hard. He also remembered fists flying at him and boots ramming into his body as they beat him for what he did to protect Hyunjin. Before he went out, he promised himself that he would take that over and over again if it meant protecting his dongsaeng. He would do whatever he could to keep him safe from them. That was his vow.
“Chan?”
The voice sounded distant and scared as the world slowly came back to him. Confusion hit him hard as he remembered what had happened.
“Channie hyung? Please. Chan, please be okay.”
“‘m okay,” he mumbled through the taste of iron in his mouth. Weakly, he spit out a wad of blood and then sucked in a painful breath as he opened his eyes. They were still in the dingy room and Hyunjin was still zip tied to his chair. His wrists were raw and bleeding and Chan thought that he may have been trying to get to him at one point. “Hurts.”
Hyunjin let out a choked sob as the flashes of those men beating the hell out of Chan hit him again. They were ruthless. “D-don’t move. They hit you so hard. Is anything broken?”
Chan tried to move and couldn't bite back the groan that exploded from his throat. He pushed through the pain and managed to sit up and take stock of his body. It felt like every part of him was bruised and his clothes were stained in blood from both him and the man he had tackled off of Hyunjin. “I’m fine,” he lied. He thought that he might have a broken rib and he wasn't entirely sure if he had a concussion or not. “Are you okay? Did they touch you again?”
Tears ran down Hyunjin’s face as he watched Chan struggle to get up. “They talked, hyung. It doesn't matter what they do to us before we get shipped somewhere else. It…they said it could be a year of training before…Chan, I'm scared.”
Chan made it to his side and dropped to his knees with a wince. Something was definitely broken. “Shhh, Jinnie. I won't let them hurt you.” He brushed his thumb over Hyunjin's split cheek and hated how he knew instantly that he needed stitches.
“That's what I'm afraid of.” Hyunjin knew he would do whatever he could to keep him safe.
Chan avoided looking at him and maneuvered around to try and get him out of his binds. “Did they say anything else?”
Hyunjin went quiet for a moment and felt Chan freeze behind him. “They…they’re going to break us tonight. Chan I can’t—”
“Shhh,” Chan shushed him when he managed to pop the zip tie off of Hyunjin's bleeding wrists. “We’re going to get out of here. They aren't going to touch you.”
Immediately, Hyunjin exploded from his chair and threw himself into Chan’s arms. His hyung grunted in pain and he knew that he was hurting more than he let on. “I want to go home. Do you think the other boys are okay?”
Chan wasn't sure. “I think so. We…we were the only ones who went out without security. Taking all of us wouldn't make sense.”
“It’s all my fault," Hyunjin cried. “If I didn't freak out so much after concerts then we wouldn't be in this mess. It's my fault you're here.”
“Stop, Jinnie,” Chan told him as he held him tighter. “It’s no one's fault except for those assholes who grabbed us. We’re going to be okay. We just need to figure a way out of here.”
They both searched the small room for any way out but the only exit was through the heavily locked door. There was no way to unlock it from the inside and they struggled to accept that they were stuck in here. Hyunjin tried to talk him into charging the men the moment the door opened but Chan shot him down.
“I saw one of them with a gun in his belt. Hyunjin, we don't know how many of them are here. There could be more than three.”
They hated this. The terror was huge and Chan found himself letting Hyunjin look at him just to give his dongsaeng something to do. Bruising was already blooming all over his torso and Chan violently flinched when Hyunjin touched a spot on his back.
“Chan—”
“Don’t,” Chan hissed. “I told you I'm fine.”
“Chan, I don't want you to do that for me again. I don't want to be the reason you get hurt because I know damn well you would let yourself be brought to the brink of death for any one of Stray Kids.”
“Hyunjin—”
“No, Chan,” Hyunjin growled. “I know you.”
Chan looked at his dongsaeng and melted. Hyunjin cared about him just as much as he did for Hyunjin. “Jinnie, it's not your choice. I would do anything for you.” That ‘you’ he slipped in definitely sounded a lot heavier than he intended but it was true. He would do anything for Hyunjin.
“Then you can't hate me for what I would do for you. We’re a team, hyung.”
Before Chan could argue back, the men came for them again. They didn't seem at all surprised seeing them both out of their binds and hanging on to each other for dear life.
“You,” the one who Chan had attacked growled at him. “Against the wall.”
Chan decided to call him Buzzcut due to the cropped hair. He hesitated before he complied because he didn't want them anywhere near Hyunjin. The choice wasn't really his though because the other one, Gum, he guessed due the annoying chewing he was always doing, ripped them apart and shoved him into the wall. The shorter third one, Shadow, just followed along like a shadow.
Buzzcut grabbed Chan roughly by the arm and rammed him against the wall with a thump that sent shocks through his aching body. The man was mad but Chan inwardly smiled seeing the damage on his face that he had put there. It slipped to terror when Buzzcut grabbed a fistful of his shirt and ripped it straight from his body.
Shadow whistled as he held Hyunjin against him across the room as he looked at Chan. “Now that really is the body of a god. Fuck. Look at those abs!”
“Stop looking at him!” Hyunjin screamed as he struggled in Shadow's arms. They only wrapped around him tighter but this man was a solid brick of muscle
“Jinnie, I'm fine,” Chan tried to tell him.
Buzzcut only moved closer and smiled when Chan’s hands curled into fists. “Hit me and we will take your friend first.”
Chan wanted to ask him where they were going to take him when the true meaning of those words hit him hard. Buzzcut had the audacity to laugh when he saw it in his face.
“You get it now?” Buzzcut asked. “We get to do whatever we want with you until next week when we ship you to Goyang.”
Gum decided to jump in and joined Buzzcut. He went as far as to trail his fingers over the bruised muscles of Chan’s torso. “We get to break in the new cargo.”
Chan didn't care what happened to him as long as they stayed away from Hyunjin. “Do whatever the hell you want to me but don't you dare touch Hyunjin.”
“Whatever we want?” Buzzcut asked teasingly when he grabbed Chan’s crotch. He loved the flash of fear that went through the Stray Kids leader. Still, there was a fire in his eyes that he wanted to extinguish. The power that did that was something that he seriously got off on. He wanted to punish Chan for daring to put his hands on him. “You know what? Deal. We won't touch him.”
He wasn't sure what the man meant by that but if these slimy excuses for men wouldn't touch his dongsaeng, he would do whatever they said.
“Chan…” Hyunjin cried from across the room. He couldn't bear to see that fear in his hyungs eyes. “Chan, don't.”
“Close your eyes, Jinnie,” Chan told him when Buzzcut pressed against him. The man’s dick was already hard.
Chan refused to beg. He refused to show them the satisfaction as he was crushed into the dirty mattress while he was hellishly tortured. Buzzcut was rough. He was angry and he let it show as hands roamed all over his body. Teeth bit into his skin more so to hear him cry out but Chan would have taken all of that a hundred times over rather than the violent intrusion into his body.
There was no prep as Gum held him down while Buzzcut spit on him to make it easier only for himself. Chan couldn't hold back a scream when the man bullied himself inside of him. The pain was ripping and searing and he briefly wondered what he did to deserve something like this. He heard Hyunjin in the background screaming, begging for them to stop. That gave him the reminder of why he was taking this, to protect him and keep him from this horror for however long he could.
He couldn't hold back the next scream through his teeth as Buzzcut pulled back only to force himself back inside him. He tried to think about something else, he tried to dissociate as Buzzcut raped him infront of his dongsaeng but the pain wouldn’t let him. Each snap of the man's hips into him from that point on was agony as it punched helpless sobs from his throat. Still, he wouldn't beg.
“You feel. So. Fucking. Good,” Buzzcut grunted into his ear with each drive into him.
Chan painfully lost his breath when the man wrapped his arms around his shoulders and pulled himself in deeper. He fucked him at a more brutal pace as he tried and failed to bite back the sounds of pain that were forced out of his throat. Trying to be quiet wasn't working. This was torture beyond reason as the rape in combination with broken ribs threw him into hell.
He had no idea how long it lasted as the immoral sounds of lust in his ear grew more feral before he felt the man spill into him. The hot breath into his neck as Buzzcut collapsed across his back felt disgusting as did the blood and cum that leaked out of him when the man went soft and pulled out. Chan couldn't breathe.
It was foolish of him to think that it was over when Buzzcut rolled off of him and tucked himself back into his pants. Gum blocked his view as he lay trembling while trying to curl into himself but then the man took Buzzcut's place. Forceful hands pushed him back onto his stomach and desperation had him trying to elbow the man off of him despite trying to force himself not to. He didn’t want them to turn their attention to Hyunjin to punish him. A hard kick from Buzzcut into his side made him collapse and those few seconds of fight faded away. Tears streamed down his face without permission and then yet again, a scream ripped out of him when another violent intrusion into his body crushed him into the mattress.
The pain was indescribable as he lay there unable to do a single thing about it. He tried not to think about Hyunjin watching this because he knew that they were forcing him to. This man wasn't as big as Buzzcut but it didn't matter. The very fact that this was happening was enough to kill something in him. The helplessness, the pain, the blood…it was horror. But, if he could keep Hyunjin from being raped on this rotten mattress too, then he would take it.
He expected Shadow next and he barely reacted when Buzzcut took over restraining Hyunjin, this time with a gun appearing and pressed against his dongsaengs head. Chan thought that he must have dissociated this time because after Shadow forced himself inside, things got hazy.
There was more grunting, more pain, and now a disgusting mouth sucking at his neck. He couldn't breathe anymore but he was okay with that. Maybe it was better. Before he knew it, time slipped and they were alone in the room once more. Chan felt hesitant hands carefully roll him onto his side at some point and then a ratty blanket was being pulled over him. He felt too numb to even react or make much sense of things.
He felt something falling onto his face and briefly wondered if the roof was leaking. When he finally registered the sobs, he realized that it was tears and that Hyunjin was holding him and bawling his eyes out. He couldn't bring himself to comfort him because his words weren't working for some reason. His body was on fire and his mind was lagging and making his thoughts connect in weird ways. Time slipped again.
Sometime later, Chan woke up and cried out in terror when he noticed a body against him. He propelled himself away from it and groaned through his teeth when his lower half felt like it had been doused in kerosene and set on fire. His entire body hurt and there was fear where it wasn't before he was dragged to this place. A gentle hand came for him but it didn't matter. He flinched away from it and curled into the wall as if it could protect him.
“...please. Channie hyung, please…listen to me.”
It took entirely too long for his mind to work through the trauma and understand that it was just Hyunjin. The things that had happened to him hit him hard and a gut wrenching sob ripped from his throat before he choked it back down. He had finally understood that Hyunjin was here and he was safe for the moment. “I—I’m okay,” he lied. He knew that his dongsaeng had seen right through it.
“No, Chan, you're not,” Hyunjin said through a scratchy throat. He had screamed the entire time Chan was being raped and then he cried all night as he held him as he slept. True to their word, the men had left him alone after Chan told them that he would take it just to keep him safe. It killed him. “Can…can I look at you?” He had been terrified to touch him when he was out. Desperately did Chan need to rest and he didn't want to risk waking him or freaking him out.
“Hyunjin, I'm fine.” Chan tried to put on a strong front but damn it, the tears slipped out and called his bluff.
“Fine,” Hyunjin growled. “Then I guess you won't mind me checking you out for my own peace of mind.” Chan still hadn’t moved and he knew he was hurting.
“Jinnie—”
“No!” He knew why Chan was doing this. He didn't want him to worry. But, he had watched him get violently and brutally raped by three men. There was blood all over him and the mattress. He wasn't even sure if Chan was aware that they had hit him towards the end of it just for fun. “Chan, please. Please let me make sure you're okay.”
Chan hated that a flame of fear sparked into his chest when Hyunjin took his silence as an invitation to come closer. He didn't want to be touched. He didn't want to be seen that way either but there was a pain in Hyunjin's eyes too. “Hyunjin, I can’t—”
“Please.”
A shuddering breath went through him and Chan fought to keep a barrage of sobs from bursting out of him when he hesitantly nodded. For Hyunjin to see him this way was hard but for him to see him like this after being raped was even worse. He just wanted to curl up and die.
Hyunjin gently pulled the old blanket off of him and cried as he trailed his fingers over Chan’s beaten form. The bruises from yesterday had set and new ones were dotting around his hips and digging into his thighs. Chan had bite marks all over his shoulders and nails had dragged through his skin as they fought to keep him submitted. There were cuts on his skin and dried blood around his nose and down his neck from where they hit him. There were hickeys all over him.
And to make matters worse, he was covered in stickiness that turned his stomach between his legs. Blood and cum. He did his best to wipe it away and he hated how Chan was fighting to keep from crying out from both pain and the emotional strain of it all. “You…you tore,” he told him softly as his voice cracked.
Chan didn't know what to say. What could he say? None of this was okay. “I…y-yeah,” he said shakily. “I figured. Ummm,” he hesitated. “Can…can you find my clothes?” He hated feeling so exposed like this and he would rather feel the burn of his clothes against his damaged body over the vulnerability of being naked beneath a ratty blanket.
He watched Hyunjin move around the small room and fight with himself to not break down. Hyunjin was struggling and he hated that for him. He hated how scared his dongsaeng was and he hated the bruised and cut cheek he sported. And damn it, his throat was bruised too. How the hell did they end up like this?
Hurrying back over, Hyunjin fell to his knees and tried his best to tie Chan’s shirt back together after it had been ripped from his body. But, there was no saving it and Chan told him it was okay.
When Hyunjin hesitated as he stared at the rest of his clothes, Chan wanted to cry and felt the tears brimming his eyes. “I…I need help,” his voice cracked. He hated being so hurt that he couldn't even get dressed by himself. His ass was on fire and his ribs were screaming at him. His entire body felt like one huge bruise and he hated himself when Hyunjin choked on a sob as he gently tried to work him back into his pants. “Gonna…were gonna get through this, Jinnie. Don't worry.”
“Hyung—”
“I won't let them hurt you.”
Their captors didn't touch them for three days. Gum brought them food and water only once but that was okay. The less they had to see them the better. Chan could hardly move during that time. On one hand, he hurt, and on the other, it hurt worse when he even tried. The beating he took in combination with the rapes left him in a world of pain that he couldn’t have ever imagined.
Hyunjin doted on him the entire time. He could see how much Chan was hurting and every time they heard a noise beyond the door, Chan would shift and place his arm over him as if to shield him from whoever could come in. And every time he did that, he would hiss in pain through his teeth and his body would tremble. It didn't matter how many times Hyunjin told him to stop, he still did it.
When their captors finally came back, Chan was on his feet in seconds and any pain from before was pushed to the back of his mind. He shoved Hyunjin behind him and set blazing eyes on the three men, daring them to come closer.
“Really?” Buzzcut asked with a laugh as he roved his eyes over Chan. “You would still take a good dicking down to keep your little friend safe?”
“Don’t touch him,” Chan spat. It was a fight to keep the fear out of his voice.
Hyunjin tried to move from behind him but Chan wouldn't let him. “Chan. Stop. You can’t—”
“Do you have any idea the absolute shit show you two have caused out there?” Gum butted in. “The media is going nuts that you two have gone missing. I knew it was a bad idea to go through with this.”
“Zip it,” Shadow growled. “No one is finding us here.”
Chan almost started to feel hopeful that people were looking for them but then Buzzcut stepped towards them. His breath hitched and terror slammed into him hard. He cringed when the man smirked at his response.
“Oh, come on, Bang Chan. I know you loved the feel of us inside of you. And with the pent up stress we are under from the police out there, I wouldn't mind taking you again.”
“As l-long as you don't touch Hyunjin—”
“Fucking stop!” Hyunjin yelled and forced himself to Chan’s side. His entire body trembled the entire time as he subjected himself to whatever these men would do to him. “No.” He fought off Chan’s hands as he desperately tried to keep him shielded from these men. “No,” he said again. “I’m not letting you go through that again.”
Buzzcut looked at them mischeviously and shared a look with the others. “Oh, but dear Hyunjin? Bang Chan and I had a deal. We get to do whatever we want with him as long as we don't touch you. We're going to make a little game of it.”
Along with his terror, Chan was confused now. He didn't like the looks these men were giving them. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Shadow this time smiled at him wildly. “We are offering your dongsaeng a choice, Bang Chan. Either we fuck him, we fuck you…or you fuck him.”
