“I now pronounce you man and wife.”, the bishop said. “You may kiss the bride.” As Kristoff and Anna’s lips connected, the princess felt complete. She had been waiting for this day for so long. ‘Although’, she thought, slyly ‘tonight will be so much better!’ The cheers of those assembled were loud and made the redhead feel amazing! As she glanced around the church, she saw Elsa’s face. Her smile seemed just as bright. Anna could see the brittleness behind it, however, and she wondered why her sister wasn’t happy for her.
Later, that night, the newlywed couple sat in the bedroom of a suite that had been set aside for them to live in. As they divested themselves of their clothes, Kristoff seemed pensive. Anna looked at him. “Is...is everything okay, my love?” The burly blonde sighed. “It’s just that, we’re married now. Things are going to change.” Anna looked confused for a second, before a smile crossed her features. “Yeah, you getting used to royal life. Us having kids, eventually.” Kristoff shook his head. “No, I mean how much time you spend with Elsa. I’m your husband, now. I think I deserve more of your time than your sister.” Anna looked angry for a second, but said, “Well, I can see your point of view on this, but, I’m not giving up Elsa.” The ice harvester sighed. “Well, things might change in the future.” He gave her a lascivious look. “Now, wife, I do believe it is time to consummate this marriage.” Anna’s face turned to a similar grin. “I do believe you’re right, husband.”
Elsa sat on her bed, her heart full of pain. “Why didn’t I tell you?”, she said. ‘Because you know she would never feel the same way.’, a voice in her head said. It was awful. In the four years since the Thaw, Elsa began to have feelings that one should definitely not have for their sibling. Finally getting to know Anna after all those years alone, seeing her bright optimism and remembering how she had risked (and gave) her life to save Elsa, made her see her sister in a new light. How cheerful she was, when she walked through the palace gardens and said hello to the animals. How strong and brave she was, not only in what she did for her sister, but helping the people of Arendelle as well.
Elsa had been sick, one day, so Anna had done open court for her. Hearing the petitioners, thinking about the best way to solve things. Kai had told her later that the princess had done an excellent job. There had been a dispute over property lines for two farmers. One, Nils Haraldson, had vandalized the other, Olaf Aalborg’s, barn. Such a violation usually merited some time in the dungeons. Anna had decided to have Nils repaint Olaf’s barn instead, which was agreeable to both parties. All of those things, and more, had slowly made the blonde realize that she was falling in love with Anna.
‘It’s sick and wrong!’, her mind had screamed. ‘Even so, Anna would never feel the same.’ That is why she had the couple’s chambers far enough away to not hear....certain things, but close enough to hear if there was any shouting. She was still Anna’s sister above all else, and would always protect her. The voice sneered, ‘Who will protect her from you?’
Anna landed on the bed with an “oomph!”. “Be a little more careful, please.” Kristoff looked embarrassed. “Sorry, but, I’ve been waiting for this night for four years.” Anna smiled. “You’re not the only one.” Her husband moved toward the bed, getting on all fours above her. “I just want this to be right.”, he said as he pressed his mouth on Anna’s. Raising his left hand, he grabbed at Anna’s breast. “Ouch! That’s a little too hard!”, she shouted. But, Kristoff seemed lost in his own world, as he pushed his tongue into her mouth. She tried to push him off, but he held fast. As he groped both of her breasts, he positioned his penis at the princess’s entrance. She managed to shove him away again long enough to shout. “Help! Please, someone!” “We’re married. You’re mine.”, the man grunted.
As Elsa continued to spiral downwards, she heard a voice scream for help. Her eyes widened. “Anna!” She ran from her room towards her sister’s chambers. In what seemed like hours, but was only minutes later, she arrived. She raised her hands and blasted ice at the doors, which shattered like matchwood. She gasped at the scene. Kristoff was roughly mauling her sister, who was still shouting for help. Her mind almost couldn’t believe it, Kristoff had seemed such a gentleman! He had helped them save the kingdom! All of those thoughts were swept away, however, as Elsa’s hands and eyes glowed an intense blue. “GET THE HEL AWAY FROM HER!”, she said in a booming, echoing voice.
At that almost deafening shout, relief shot through the younger woman’s body. “Elsa! Thank the Gods!”, she said. Kristoff looked back. His mind must have been set on only one thing, for he ignored the woman behind him and turned his attention back to Anna. A freezing cold wind flung him off of the bed onto the floor. The blonde woman slowly moved towards him, ice radiating from each step. The man finally seemed to understand what was going on, for his eyes grew wide in terror. “Elsa I’m… Please!” “Give me one reason why I shouldn’t slowly freeze you in an ice block, you fucking bastard!” Her angry looked changed to a smirk, her eyes becoming colder than the wind around them. “It would be wonderful to see you gasping for breath, surrounded by the thing you love the most.” Kristoff shook his head wildly. “No! No, I love An-” “Silence!”, Elsa snarled.
She felt a hand touch her shoulder. Anna looked at her. “No. He doesn’t deserve that.” “What?” “Thank you, Anna”, the blonde man said. Looking at him, the redhead’s gaze turned as cold as her sister’s. “All that you did, saving the kingdom twice, the words and kind gestures. Did you mean them?” “At first, yes. I truly did love you. But, you always spent more time with her. I started to hate Elsa for taking you away from me. I knew you wouldn’t agree to seeing her less, so I played the sweet boyfriend, hoping to lure you in. Eventually, I knew that marrying you was the only way to make sure.” Looks of disgust and rage formed on the sister’s faces. “I should let her encase you in ice, husband”, the last word like an insult, “but you did save the kingdom.” Elsa spoke. “That is why you will be sentenced to life imprisonment in the castle dungeons. Be grateful, treason is usually a death sentence. Guards!” As they dragged him away, he still continued to plead for mercy.
Anna shivered. “All.. all this time, I thought he was the one. Just like in the stories. The handsome prince and beautiful princess living happily ever after. I mean, Kristoff’s no prince, but, I had thought he’d be better than…..Hans.” She saw her vision blur, and she buried her face in her sister’s chest, sobbing. ‘Stop. Stop this, or else you will truly become a monster.’, the dark voice in Elsa’s head rang. As Elsa lightly grabbed Anna’s shoulder to pull her away, their gazes met. Aquamarine and bright blue, both holding such trust, such reverence, such...love.
Anna stared at her older sister, and thought struck her. ‘That look in Elsa’s eyes. Its what I’ve always thought of, in the stories. The look of someone who loves the other person more than they love themselves. Such tenderness… devotion.’ Those same feelings bloomed in her own chest. She’d been waiting for someone for so long. It made a….strange… kind of sense that the one for her, her true love, would be the sister that protected her, even from Elsa herself and her powers. Even when she was deep in love with Kristoff, planning their future, the looks he gave her were nothing at all to the love and devotion she saw from her sister. So, she leaned forward and brushed her lips across Elsa’s ‘So warm and soft.’, she thought. Kristoff’s were like rough dry wood, in comparison. The redhead knew in that second, that they were meant to be.
The voice in Elsa’s head continued to taunt and insult her. ‘This…. This can’t be happening! She can’t want this! She’s just confused.’, the blonde thought. Elsa pulled away. “Anna. This is wrong. You can’t… can’t want this! We’re sisters!” The younger only smiled in return. “Seeing that look you just had in your eyes, the look that I always thought the princes in the storybooks had. The look in Kristoff’s eyes was absolutely nothing compared to that. “ She took a breath, inhaling the scent of cold snow that was Elsa’s. “You are the one I was meant to be with, Elsa.” She put her right thumb against the elder’s lips. “I know. We’re sisters. But, I feel… you make me feel like everything is good in the world. That you’ll always love and protect me, as I will do for you.” She pressed their lips together again, and the snow queen of Arendelle felt her resistance melt away faster than any snow or ice. “Anna,”, she said after they again parted, “I’ve loved you, ever since the great thaw. How strong and kind and beautiful you are.” She smiled. “I know its strange. I, too, feel as if this was meant to be.”
Feeling the warmth envelop them, they knew that nothing in the universe could compare to the soul binding love they shared.
