Nico Di Angelo
“Block! Strike!” Nico called out to Will just as he hit where his neck was seconds before.
They spared a few more minutes with Nico yelling out when to block and strike, before Nico caught Will with the edge of his sword to his neck.
Will laughed, “I’m getting closer! Soon I will beat you,” he said the last part, smirking.
Nico gave him a sly smile,” Will see about that Sunshine.”
Will laughed and checked the time. “Crap! My shift starts in 2 minutes!” He said running to the infirmary tripping over boxes on his way out.
Nico laughed and called after him, “ Don’t be late!”
With that Nico started practicing on a dummy.
He started to think some more, even though he was practicing to clear his head. What if Will overuses his powers again? What if Kayla and Austin don’t catch him overworking?
Now you might be thinking, didn't Will say to stop by the infirmary so he could see a friendly face a few weeks ago? Yes, yes he did. Nico tried to stop by but he didn't seem to find the time. Or maybe he just has been avoiding it for a very specific reason or person.
Nico seemed to have inhabited feelings for the blonde.But this felt different than Percy.
When he looked at Will he felt funny on the inside, but a good kind of funny. Like tickling through his spine.
He kept on beating the dummies. One after another. Trying to shake his mind away from the stupid Apollo boy, with that luscious blond hair-nope definitely not what he meant, not at all.
He didn’t know how long he was sparring when he heard someone call his name.
He turned to the door to see Jason Grace waving and starting to say something that Nico couldn’t catch. As his surroundings started to blur together making the world spin, the last image he saw was the son of Jupiter running towards him with severe worry in his face.
Jason Grace
Jason had been talking to Piper on the way back from dinner when he saw movement in the arena. Earlier he had noticed Nico hadn’t been at dinner and Will seemed worried out of his mind but had another Infirmary shift.
So, he went to the arena to see Nico hacking at an already shredded dummy with the shadows looking as if they were attacking him. He tried calling his name.
Nico looked at him and started to collapse.
Jason sprinted forward muttering, “Gods’, you idiot Nico, I swear you would die from overworking your almost as bad as Will.”
He got to Nico and scooped him up bridal style, and started for the infirmary, God’s, Will was not going to be happy.
Jason carried Nico to the door of the infirmary. He didn’t even have to knock, Will was at the door and carrying Nico to a cot, muttering under his breath.
Jason stood right by the door not knowing where else to be. The infirmary was not his home turf.
He waited for a good 5 minutes before Will’s sister Kayla came over and said,” You might want to go check on Nico Will needed a cooler.”
Jason nodded in response trying to figure out what happened to Nico and Will.
He walked over to where Will had carried Nico and sat in the visitor chair next to him.
The infirmary was quite empty with only one kid sleeping that looked like, like Will!
He was going to go check on him but Nico started to stir.
Nico blinked awake with alertness as if he were on the battlefield.
Jason tried to calm him down,” Nico, you're in the infirmary! You passed out when practicing.”
Nico blinked as the memories came to him and sat up.
Jason almost reached forward but didn’t, “ You sure you should be sitting up right now.”
Nico ignored him and looked across the room where Will had fallen asleep on a cot.
Nico looked pissed as he got up and crossed the room.
Jason didn’t see the point in trying to stop Nico but tried anyway,” You sure you don’t want to lay down?”
Nico once again ignored him and grabbed his wrist.
After a moment he groaned and said,” Grace go grab the sun light the round thing on the counter.” Nico said the last part as an afterthought as if he wouldn’t know what a sun light is (he didn’t realize the infirmary was not his specialty).
Jason did as he was told without complaining as Nico seemed to know what he was doing.
After setting up the light he let it shine on will for a few minutes.
Jason was in shock,” How did you know how to do all that?”
Nico rolled his eyes and said, “When you know a healer who likes to overwork himself you pick up how to make sure he doesn’t kill himself from work.”
Sounds like someone I know Jason almost said but decided to focus on Nico, his tone had sounded almost endearing. Jason knew about Nico’s old crush on Percy, but he had resolved that, was it possible that Nico could be like the son of Apollo. No, his brain told him there were poor opportunities that couldn’t be. But Will did take care of him in the infirmary after the second war. Maybe he would let fate play its course, maybe.
Will Solace
Will knew he probably put a little too much power into helping Nico, but he started to fade, again! So he was a little worried. Maybe more than a little.
His last memory before he passed out was Kyala telling him he needed to go to the cabin and sleep.
Apparently all that his mind heard was sleep because he woke up on an infirmary cot with Nico and the son of Jupiter talking to the side.
Nico noticed he woke up and started scowling, here it came.
“William Andrew Solace! What were you thinking pulling all that power out of yourself, you stupid stupid~” The end of his thought was mumbled out as the son of Hades slapped him in the shoulder, “ If you ever do that again I am raising a dead army to buy McDonald's and feed it to the whole camp for a week!”
Will chuckled and rubbed his shoulder,” Okay, Okay,” But Nico interrupted in a smaller voice than normal,” I didn’t hurt anyone right?”
Will gave him a reassuring smile and said,” If you did hurt anyone it would have been Jason right here,” Pulling Jason in the conversation.
Nico smirked looking at Jason, “Well maybe I could resurrect a few skeletons to chase him around.”
Jason was probably going to make some petty comment in return Will blurted,” No, absolutely not! To both of those ideas of yours.”
Nico's smirk grew even bigger,” I mean I don’t think I could promise that unless you would like to make a deal by taking a day off?”
Will sighed and said,” I can't go to the infirmary.”
“Kayla is already forcing you to have a day off so you could either hang out with me so you can get some very much-needed sunshine or you could lay in an infirmary bed all day with the sun lamp,” Nico said.
Will groaned in response and Nico knew his answer.
That was when Jason looking at the clock said,” I gotta go, I would rather not get eaten by the harpies so bye!”
Nico and Will waved to the son of Jupiter as he left.
Nico then said, “Sleep now I will sleep on the other cot but you need sleep and sunlight so hurry up.”
Will gave an amused smile to the sun of Hades and said,” Sure Nico, Goodnight.”
Nico made his way across the room and responded with,” Goodnight Will.”
