"This," Shinyu said quietly, "is me giving you a way out for your own good. Take it."
The younger man's eyebrow lifted. He tilted his head, the height between them forcing him to look up ever so slightly. It should have made him seem smaller. Instead, it only made his stare more unwavering.
"Should I?"
"If you know what's better for you, you will."
The corner of the Jihoon's mouth curled.
A quiet chuckle slipped from him as he held the older man's gaze with infuriating ease. "If I wanted an escape, I would've taken one nearly a year ago on the very same night this whole fucking mess started."
"Jihoon, I thin—"
"You think I'd spend months bottling this shit up and the past three days getting under your skin, just to chicken out because you finally decided to do something about it?" A soft scoff, his eyes never left Shinyu's. "Come on. You know me better than that, hyung."

“Kim Dohoon, if you fucking brought a goddamn Omega over for your rut,” Youngjae yells again, “I swear to fucking god, I’m going to kill you.” He’s prepared for the door to swing open at any moment, for a smug Dohoon to tell him to fuck off and get out so he can finish his business, to retreat to his friend’s apartment to stay over for yet another night.
But then, the sound changes.
It’s not the cries of an Omega. It’s a familiar enough voice– Dohoon’s voice. Only, it’s… higher. Straining and trembling in a way that makes Youngjae freeze in place.
“... fuck, please… Youngjae…”
