"Spar with me," Jeongguk said, in the same authoritative tone he had used just before to address Yoongi.
"I think I'll pass," he replied in an almost disgustingly corny manner as he turned his back on him and walked toward the weapons rack to put his daggers away.
Someone coughed to mask a laugh and someone else cursed under their breath, and Jimin let a smile appear on his lips. He knew that as the king's consort, he should show him the utmost respect, and that was exactly what he had been prepared to do before setting foot in that godforsaken kingdom. But after learning how the court ran things, he felt nothing but disgust for most of the people he had met up to that point.
"That was not a request, Jimin."
"You put a crown on my head, your majesty," he reminded him. "I am not one of your subjects."
He managed only one more step before he was forced to stop. A strong hand wrapped itself around his wrist and a second later his back hit the sculpted chest of the male behind him.
Jimin froze, his breath catching in his throat as Jeongguk's other hand grabbed his chin.
"I'm still your king."
