His expression is neutral (painstakingly so), but when he makes eye contact with Clark something breaks in him. His face falls and he can't hold his emotions down anymore. He can't hold anything back when it comes to Clark.

    Clark makes his way over to him, gently cupping his face in his hands. "Oh honey…"
