UPDATE: 6/15/2026
This series is not being abandoned, but being my first attempt at fanfiction, juggling multiple routes is hard. I have received feedback from other authors on pacing, emotional impact of key events, and other things. Rather than polish this series, I have decided to completely re-write it. The plan is to take each route by arcs of 3-4 chapters before swapping to work on another, rather than writing one or two chapters for a route and swapping them day to day. With this method I hope for better consistency and pacing, as well as doing side characters for the various routes better justice.
Thank you to everyone who had read these. It means a great deal to me that I have so many people who enjoy my writing already. Ashes Fall Like Snow (Revamped) (this may not be it's working title) will not be identical, but will hopefully be longer, higher quality, and more impactful.

Late one night, James finds himself unable to sleep, haunted by the vices and insecurities he's been battling in silence. He reflects on the past couple of months since he met Ashley, the two growing closer in a way neither of them expected. However, while James's support has helped Ashley on her road to healing, he finds himself stuck, lamenting the hell he's had to endure alone and feeling that fighting it alone it's his only choice.
