Summary
Adora’s always known Catra as a rebel, which is why it blindsides her that Catra would reject joining the Rebellion. It’s not until later that Adora connects that Catra’s acts of rebellion and Adora’s were from completely different views.
Adora rebels against the system.
Catra rebels within the system.
And that makes all the difference.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

Summary
“That’s how I died,” Kravitz said, and Taako’s fingers flinched away. Kravitz grasped Taako’s wrist, pulled those fingers up to his mouth for a reassuring kiss.
“I…” And gods, there’s nothing Kravitz hated so much as Taako not knowing what to say to him.
“It doesn’t bother me.”
“I didn’t know.” Taako’s touch was featherlight now, reverent.
“And that’s not very fair to you, is it?”
So Kravitz told him, told him everything he hadn’t spoken of in all this time.
An exploration of Kravitz's life—before and after death—and how it intertwines with Taako's.
