Royal Delights is Okhema's newest cafe and ice cream shop, providing customers with the classic taste of dairy and ice cream, except with a twist. Royal Delights is amongst one of the first establishments in the city to use hybrid milk in their products.
It should come as no surprise that the novelty of the new ingredient stirs up a storm amongst customers, and even less of a surprise that one certain customer finds himself unhealthy addicted to their soft-serve after one taste…

“What the hell.” Mydei spits out.
Phainon pants, ultimately relieved he was able to catch up to him. “Look, I–I’m sorry about this, and about earlier, won’t you let me make it up to you?” Phainon asks, half out of breath.
“Get lost.” Mydei bites back, shoving the door open and nearly knocking Phainon off balance from where he was leaning against it.
Phainon: 4th year PoliSci student, thrust into an elective he didn’t even pick for himself, and faced with the challenge of passing a course he’s clueless of in order to graduate.
Perhaps it’s just his luck that his class gets to go on a field trip to the elusive Okhema University of Design & Art’s Painting department. Maybe finding a friend is too ambitious, but maybe, just maybe, he can find a study buddy?

“What?” Phainon says, utterly surprised at Aglaea’s words.
“I won’t repeat myself, nor will I accept your humility. This is an honour and it is a task I know you are more than capable of.” Aglaea says, a small smirk twitching on her otherwise neutral face.
“So I…will be the head ambassador for Okhema’s Department of Trade? Me? Just like that?” He repeats Aglaea’s previous words, fitting them in his mouth to help understand their weight.
In an era of peace between the sister cities of Okhema and Castrum Kremnos, the trading of goods, services, and natural resources is abundant. But just what might transpire when Phainon, unofficial Prince of Okhema is thrust into the new position of head ambassador for Okhema’s Department of Trade? And just what might occur when he’s met with the new and entirely confusing, yet entirely alluring, head negotiator of his sister city?
Or: Phaidei royalty au wherein the two are their nation's respective trade ambassadors...what could go wrong?

Mydei’s jaw drops.
“It's a win-win, right? You get to… I dunno, yell at me when I mess something up - which, let’s be honest, you love doing - don’t even try to deny it,” Mydei sneers but stays silent, which Phainon takes as a victory. “And as a cheeky bonus,” He continues, throwing in a wink as he puffs up his chest and puts his hands on his hips. “You get to make out with one of the top three most handsome guys on campus… me!”
Mydei stares at him, wearing an expression so twisted Phainon could’ve mistaken it as him finding out he’d stepped in a pile of shit.

Phainon’s lashes fluttered, eyes cracking open slightly. Mydei kept his voice low, steady. “That I look like Mydeimos.”
A beat passed. Phainon stared at him. And then he smiled — slow, lopsided, honest in the way only drunk men and dying men ever were.
“Yeah. You really do.”

Summary
“Well,” is what Aglaea says at last. “This is certainly… a predicament.”
Her voice is as unreadable as ever, so it could mean anything from this is manageable to this is a disaster the likes of which the Flame-Chase Journey will never recover from. As things stand, Mydei is more inclined to believe the latter.
Beside them, Tribbie finally pops up from where she’s been studying their joined hands. “What Snowy said is true!” she proclaims in a voice far too cheerful for their current situation. “He and De are one hundred percent stuck to each other.”
While out on patrol, Mydei and Phainon get hit with a curse that binds their hands together.
