“Indulge my curiosity,” he says brightly. “How did Ren convince you?”
“Huh?”
“You know Maruki’s dream world,” says Akechi. “I’ve always wondered. You got your mother back.”
Asshole. Jerk. Piece of shit. Why is Ren dating him. Why would anyone date him?
“And,” she grits out.
Akechi doesn’t let the question hang, he shoots it out of the air. “Why,” he says slowly, “would you agree to let that go?”
Sixteen minutes.
“I said we’re not gonna talk,” she says.
Akechi shrugs. “You started it,” he says, “but all right.”--
