It’s strange. He went down hard, but nothing hurts. That might be very bad, if he can’t feel anything at all. But it’s not that. He can feel things, but they just don’t feel right. Maybe they already have him up on the stretcher, because he’s lying on something soft, not the cold ice he’d crumpled onto when he fell. He’s never felt a stretcher quite like this before, though.
“Ilya!”
There it is again. But now it’s louder. Almost unmistakably Shane.
Blinking against sunlight, Ilya opens his eyes, and stares up at the brilliant blue sky.

After a bad hit during a game in 2016, Ilya wakes up at Shane Hollander's cottage in 2023. Finding out he has a dog, plays for Ottawa, and is married to Shane in quick succession, confronting the existence of time travel becomes the least of his worries.

Summary
A ghost walking into a graveyard, Charles thinks with a huff, sounds like the beginning of a bad joke.
It's one of those daft little things that's always going to be funny, in a morbidly whimsical sort of way. It's not the first time he's wandered through a graveyard, and it certainly won't be the last.
Well. Hopefully he never has reason to set foot in this particular one again.
Or; Charles loverboy Rowland can have a little violence. As a treat.

Summary
Shane loses his game to a blizzard and his boyfriend to a bad hit, all in the same night.
Snowed in with his parents in Montreal, he watches Ilya get stretchered off on live TV, and discovers that when your relationship is a secret, no one at the hospital thinks to call you.
In Ottawa, Ilya wakes up with broken bones, a serious concussion, and a neatly edited brain. The months where he was lonely and depressed and fighting with Shane? Gone. He’s mentally living in the soft, hopeful beginning of things—and the more everyone tiptoes around him, the more wrong it feels.
The Centaurs step up. The Hollanders dig in. Shane tries to convince himself that “temporary amnesia” is not the same thing as losing him.
