Summary
At the glittering Royal Television Society Festival, twenty-six-year-old Emily Carter — a fiercely ambitious directing student at the University of Arts London — crosses paths with Declan O’Hara: the sharp-tongued, world-weary journalist, TV host, and ruthless executive at Venturer Television.
Their first encounter is electric and disastrous. Soon after, Emily begins her internship at Venturer, where Declan’s brilliance and notoriously cold, difficult nature turn her life into a battlefield.
