Eight months after securing Westeros, King Jon and Queen Daenerys travel across the Narrow Sea to inspect the Bay of Dragons. Waiting for them in Meereen is Daario Naharis, who assumes their union is nothing more than a cold, political arrangement. He expects to easily rekindle an old flame with the Dragon Queen. Instead, the sellsword severely underestimates the unbreakable bond between the Dragon and the Wolf—and just how fiercely the King of the Seven Kingdoms guards what is his.
