Summary
Three days after he had disappeared from the boat, they found the Harbinger Tartaglia. He had made it some distance back into Fontaine, and they found him collapsed at the bottom of a slope, face down in the dirt.
He watched the agents retrieve him, watched them lay him upon the stretcher, watched them assess his condition. He saw their concerned faces, their worried glances, their rushed ministrations.
They sent one of their number away.
Even from here, he could see the amount of blood. He could see the crumpled, darkened, violet flesh. He could see the torn clothes, the lack of strength, the absence of consciousness.
"It is rare to see such colour of eyes in Fontaine."
He did not look, to this newcomer.
"Such a shade of gold. Rumours of your passing were therefore exaggerated, Geo Archon."

Summary
A year after the events of Liyue Harbour, another use of the Foul Legacy sends an already miserable and heartbroken Childe's health plummeting. The Abyss acts as a sickness, festering in his bones, and threatens to erode him. At home, with his family, Childe can only struggle against this illness for so long before his siblings send word to Zhongli to ask for his help.
