Jinx, la bailarina prodigio de Zaun, rompe todo lazo con su esposo Ekko, tras la muerte de su hija. Años después, vuelven a encontrarse como maestros en el Piltover Dance Palace, para preparar a un grupo de bailarines que heredaron los conflictos sociales de sus padres y no se soportan.

The girls were gathering around her, or at least that's how it seemed to her.

She closed her eyes tightly. She let herself be held without understanding what he was saying.

-------Jinx, the prodigious dancer from Zaun, breaks all ties with her husband Ekko after the death of their daughter. Years later, they meet again as teachers at the Piltover Dance Palace, preparing a group of dancers who have inherited the social conflicts of the old enemy cities: Zaun and Piltover.

Summary

It used to be so easy for her to hate him. It was so easy to stare into those impenetrable blue eyes, as fierce and unyielding as the sea’s fiercest storms, to glare with enough vitriol to crack his perfect façade, and then look away before she had to see that terrible beautiful sword on his back. It was so easy to run away from him, and it was only logical; it felt so natural, so freeing, to not have the heavy weight of his gaze on her back.
It had been so easy for her, back then.

Link frowned, unable to face the jolly bard. Kass had known him before he knew himself, passed on to him his own legends until he understood his own myth. If anyone besides Zelda would know, wouldn’t it be him? “You said it was her love for me that awakened her power.” Kass waited for him to continue. “Did I love her back?”
“You clearly cared about her a great deal, Link, probably more than anything else in the kingdom,” Kass said to him quietly.
Link set his jaw. He was afraid of that answer, afraid of what he had known deep down was the truth. “But did I love her back?” He asked, unwilling to accept such a vague answer. He needed the truth. He needed to hear it.
Kass clicked his beak, perhaps impatiently. Link began to tap his foot with his nerves. “Not the way she loved you,” Kass said quietly. “Not then, to my master’s knowledge.”
Link swallowed hard. Anticipating Kass’s answer had not made the words easier for him to hear.
Damn that court poet, Link thought. Oh, how he would have loved to see Link pine helplessly now.

It was obvious what she was doing there, she thought miserably, fixing the pack slung over her back. “Taking a walk,” she huffed. He could easily call out to the guards, alerting them of her presence, foiling her escape plans. But he had explaining to do, too. “What are you doing here?” She asked.
He gave her a once over, spotting her bag. Caught. “Sneaking out,” he said.
