We all heard the stories about falling in love with your brother's best friend. But what happens if your brother gets a new friend and he's the most handsome person you've ever seen. And he's so nice, he helps everyone around. And he has a dog! The cutest one. So the obvious thing is falling in love, right? Well, not in that case. Because in that story, Taehyung is Jungkook's ex-boyfriend. And it's not easy for him because his heart has been aching for the past five months. Now, when he sees the one that broke it - it hurts even more. And his mom loves Taehyung, so on some Sunday mornings, when Jungkook wakes up after a long night, and all he wants to do is just eat breakfast in silence, he has to see them drinking coffee. Yeah, it's not easy.

It was always so obvious, with Ilya glaring at everyone who even dared to touch Shane and showing off not only his ring but also Shane, as if he was his most precious possession. They belonged together and it was ridiculous for anyone to have a nerve to even ask for a dance. It was only a matter of time before Ilya made his life a living hell, claming Shane in every way possible and maybe more, and then–
Except the man was still looking at him, expextantly, and Ilya wasn’t doing any of the things he should.
Or: Taking Wyatt's advice, Ilya tries to stop being 'too much' for his husband. For Shane, it is an obvious sign of upcomming divorce
(Or: 5 times that Ilya thought he was doing good by distancing himself from his husband and one time Shane proved him wrong)

Summary
Just before Shane’s 30th birthday, his entire world comes to a screeching halt. A stupid mistake in Florida gets him outed, traded, depressed, enraged. And to make matters worse, Ilya Rozanov is right there to witness his entire crash and burn.
OR, Shane doesn’t get hurt playing against Boston, and Ilya does break up with him. Flash forward four years, and Shane finds himself playing for the Ottawa Centaurs, where Ilya has been captain since 2019.
