Shen Qingqiu looks at the blood smeared all over the floor. He looks at the bloody cutting board and knife on the counter, devoid of meat. He looks at the puttering pot. He… he wouldn’t…
His mind is adding two plus two, but the answer is coming out blank.
“Binghe,” Shen Qingqiu says - his voice sounds distant from himself, absurdly calm and measured, a little cold. “Exactly what were you doing, sticking knives into yourself?”
Luo Binghe tenses up, looking like a terrified, frozen prey animal. Caught out.
“Your own flesh,” Shen Qingqiu says, far away. “You’ve put it in…?”
“It’s not bad,” Luo Binghe says desperately. He looks at Shen Qingqiu plaintively, almost begging. “Shizun, it’s not bad. I heal from any injury, so not even scars are left behind. Any pain is fleeting, it’s easy for me to ignore it. And-- and meat is meat, isn’t it? It’s still tasty, right? Shizun always loves it so much when I make it.”

Summary
Shen Qingqiu is in a staring match with a small bowl of kelp.
The kelp sits on his table innocuously, sea-green and limp with moisture, taunting him. It leaks a small, diluted puddle around the pile.
"I am not going to use you as a sex tool," he tells the lifeless bowl of kelp.
Or: Shen Qingqiu feels guilty that Luo Binghe has lost out on his vast harem of omegas meant to serve a virile alpha in favor of a tired old alpha who can't even take his knot. He decides that he should make up for it somehow.

“Don’t look so sad,” Shen Yuan scolds him. “I’ll be seeing you tomorrow, won’t I?”
“Y-yes, Laoshi,” Luo Binghe says, staring up at him with starry eyes. Shen Yuan makes himself take his hand away, before someone sees. People could get the wrong idea. “I’ll be here!”
“Good,” Shen Yuan says. “Now, go off, you. Shoo!”
Luo Binghe nods obediently, then scampers off. Such a sweet child! Shen Yuan watches him go with satisfaction, then goes to his car to drive home, alone. Luo Binghe has to walk home on his own, since the person running his group home doesn’t have the time or willingness to drive him. It would be so easy and simple for Shen Yuan to drive Luo Binghe home himself, let the poor kid sit inside of a nice heated car instead of having to freeze on his way home and walk his thin soles even thinner - but no. He can’t.
He promised the principal that he’d stop.
