This is just the little headcannon I had of Leia and Amilyn meeting at the senate and falling for each other. It was imagined before I read PoA, so there's no Apprentice Legislature, etc.
If you're finding senate-based political chit chat at the start not to your taste, don't worry - I'm establishing a enough background so we can get some slowburn Amileia going and then go full Amileia all over the fic.

Set after Mon-El gets a job as a bartender, and after Sanvers has been established. Mon-el and Kara’s kiss didn’t happen, and they don’t harbour any Romantic feelings for each other, James has not yet become the guardian, and Lucy is still away somewhere on her super secret mission. Lena knows Kara'd an alien (but not Supergirl), after she found out in a previous fic. Mon-El's past is still relevant. This is chilled head-canon. Summary
Poplar, London. 1963.
Patsy has returned from Hong Kong following her father's death. After a passionate reunion with Delia, they set about rebuilding their lives together. Delia begins her journey as a midwife, helped on by Val and Phyllis. Nonnatus house employs a new midwife in Lucille. Trixie suffers a relapse and both Patsy and Delia are battling with their own health, mental and physical - but seeking help is never easy. Everything comes to a head when Patsy suspects abuse within a family and Nonnatus House is shaken by a tragedy.
A fic based loosely off series 7 if Patsy and Delia were to not disappear and travel the globe. Written as close to the style of the show and its characters as possible with some original characters and plot twists to be had along the way.
EDIT: I'm so sorry this fic has been abandoned. I aim to return to it someday. Until then, I hope you can enjoy reading knowing I was going for an eventual happy ending!
