he doesn’t dwell on that, though. he tells himself that it’s only right that they’ve forgotten him; he’s forgettable, after all. forgettable enough that they thought he shouldn’t debut, that he’d only drag down kai’s fervor, taemin’s devotion, taeyong’s fierceness, jaehyun’s charisma.
why would they waste their time thinking of doyoung when they’re at the peak of their success now, without him?
it’s not like he thinks about them that often, anyway.
(he falls asleep after long days at the cafe to the same song every night, a ballad by taeyong and jaehyun that is smooth, comforting, and so full of longing that it hurts.)
