“Did I ever do something? Like, we’re cool, right? Are you… mad? If I did, I’m really sorry.”
Taehyun smiled. Just the corner of his lips, a small, barely there thing. “No, we’re cool.”
“Okay. That’s good.” Kai sat back, taking the answer but not quite believing it.
After a series of awkward interactions, Kai was convinced Taehyun didn't like him. When he woke one day to find that he could suddenly read every one of his thoughts, Kai quickly found that wasn't the case at all. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

"It’s pretty," Jaehyun said softly.
The air in the room seemed to stall for a second.
Sanghyeok frowned, confused. He looked around at his beige sofa and the simple rug that had seen better days. He scratched the back of his neck, feeling a sudden, inexplicable itch under his skin.
"Well," Sanghyeok mumbled, averting his gaze to the floor. "It’s not really that pretty of a place, though. The heating acts up in December, and the water pressure is moody."
Jaehyun blinked, as if snapping out of a trance. His eyes widened slightly, the intense focus dissolving back into that golden-retriever friendliness.
"Oh," Jaehyun laughed, a short, breathy sound. "Yeah. Right. The place. The place is pretty too."

“Taehyun?” Beomgyu answers in one ring, understandably alarmed. Taehyun never calls anyone if she can avoid it, especially unannounced.
“Why the fuck didn’t you warn me?”
“Warn you about what?”
“She’s pretty,” Taehyun whines, realizing when her voice echoes against the stairwell that she was definitely too loud and walking faster in mortification.
