It snows and it is cold outside. Mike bikes to work everyday forgetting gloves and only wears his helmet, no cap. His face is all red from the biting chill, his hands are too rough and affected by the dry winter air, his lips are always sore and chafed. Harvey can't help than to notice this every day a little bit more. He needs to do something about Mike's skin and his habit to bike to work when it's freaking winter outside.

Mike hadn’t had high expectations about accompanying Harvey there, other than just getting through the evening. (And, preferably, not to let on that he had fallen hopelessly in love with his best friend.)

Summary
This is primarily a Harvey character study covering the day he hired Mike until after he leaves Harvey for Seattle. Harvey reminisces about shaping Mike into a carbon copy of himself and having the epiphany that he wasn’t successful. Then he realizes he's glad he wasn't. He thinks about how he had gone from being Mike’s mentor to so much more, and ultimately decides to do something about it. Rachel/Mike and Donna/Harvey plots don't exist here.
