Summary
Soft honey colored hair falls to small shoulders as the woman steps neatly into the ‘Europe’ section of the bookshop. Shauna recognises the floral blouse as costing hundreds, maybe even thousands, a one of a kind designer item. Nothing Shauna could afford.
If she wasn’t wearing sunglasses, Shauna would have guessed that the woman’s eyes were hazel, a shade lighter than gold.
Everyone knows who Jackie Taylor is.

Summary
Once upon a time, not too long nor too short a time ago, there lived a man in a manor. All of this man’s employees could generally agree on this man’s likeability, his charm and his cleanliness.
This was to say that this agreement was not complimentary.

Summary
The villages. It was, at first, one gingerbread house per member of the Cartwright household, River listening carefully as David Cartwright told stories about safe houses and saving the day and spies, tongue poking out the corner of his mouth as he divvied up his time, equally focussed on the stories and on using icing glue to finish sticking a chocolate sweet on the roof of his gingerbread house.
As he grew older, the ‘villages’ became more elaborate. One house turned into two, and then gingerbread trees came into play, and then a cabin, a train, a mansion.
When River began his first job, he saved his pay to buy ceramic “gingerbread” houses, seeing how Grandma Rose’s hands have shaken and stiffened the last few years. And from there, the world was his oyster. Ceramic churches, a bakery, diverse types of housing, even lights that he could turn on and off.
A tradition.

Summary
This isn’t River’s fault. A phrase, which he’s said so often he has the feeling that it’s lost all its meaning. This time, it really isn’t.
By about 70%.
Maybe 60%.
Look, whose fault it is doesn’t matter. All that matters is that Roddy Ho is equally, if not more, complicit. This is, of course, partially because it’s Roddy and mostly because it was his idea. River was merely blackmailed into it.
or, River and Roddy decorate. Things go wrong (as expected).
