Summary
When it happened, Phoenix had only been a shot deep. A shot split between him and Miles, so more like half a shot, really. Larry had pulled out a rainbow-coloured liquor bottle with giddy giggles about how funny it was and Nick you gotta try this, and Phoenix had rolled his eyes and relented with a few half-hearted jabs on Larry's shitty taste in party drinks.
He really didn't think it would affect him.

Getting over one's doomed romantic feelings for Phoenix Wright was a simple task: give the man polite distance, focus on one's career, and contemplate a Phoenix Wright-less version of the future where one was somehow happy.
Notice that these steps did not include pushing a shopping cart alongside Phoenix Wright, trading flowers with Phoenix Wright's young daughter, or going to Phoenix Wright's home to celebrate Phoenix Wright's stupid, endlessly endearing made-up holiday.
Miles did this to himself. He deserved it.

Summary
Trucy sniffs the air, as she squeezes herself besides Miles on the couch, "see, that's how I knew you were here. Smelled way too good for it to be Daddy's cooking."
"Wuzzat..?" Wright grunts, roused from sleep, squirming himself upright. Miles' executive functions shut down as Wright's lips unintentionally brush against his pulse point. He hopes the dim lighting hides the blush creeping up his neck as the man sits up, smacking his lips together, "oh, hey Truce."
After falling asleep on his shoulder, Phoenix accidentally kisses Miles, sending them both into a spiral.
